This house was built in the 60’s so naturally I’m assuming oil base on every surface. 1. Give the surface a good sand (pole sand with a medium coarse sandpaper is the quickest/easiest.) 2.Prime with a high “bonding” primer (STIX primer from Benjamin Moore) is great- no you do not have to use oil over oil! 3. Use a flat ceiling paint or if you have moisture issues grab a paint with mildewcide in it! (I added my own to this paint) 4. Let the surface dry well before use (showering, etc.) Pros, add in anything I’m missing 🤙🏼
