Alabama Bullet is finally done breeding for this year! Thank you so much to everyone who brought mares. We are very excited to see the babies in 2022! Today was our first day back playing with some liberty. He is so much fun!

Oh how I wish Popcorn could talk. I do believe he would say those exact words. I wish I kept track of just how many people have rode him. He is still going strong at 22 years old! It really takes a special kind of horse to be a lesson horse. He is patient and kind, but still does not make it to easy for anyone. Hard to believe he was one of our stallions for the first 12 years of his life, we still have a daughter to him in our broodmare pen! We gelded him and he’s been doing lessons ever since, along with being the old faithful whenever we needed to get a job done fast. Not to mention he was a competitive youth barrel horse and Neil’s heel horse for years. Creating horses like this is what we strive for as breeders and trainers. Conformation to last, versatility to achieve any goal, and a mind that anyone can get along with. Check out Bar S Alabama N Fire 5 year old Alabama Bullet gelding rode by Stran Dunham Kevin and Sheena Dunham bred their mare Sign To Fire to Bullet and this is what they got! They have done a great job with him and we are excited to see where this one goes!

Now we are down to 3 mares left to foal! Hick Hock laid down and had a fancy Red Roan stud by Reyce For Time this morning! For those of you who have never had the chance to see a mare foal we thought we would share.

Alabama Attitude 5 year old mare This is one of the last daughters of Alabama Okie. She is a full sister to 1D and rodeo winning mare Alabama Anna owned by Maddy McGee. Very versatile little mare, ready to find her new partner!

20 rides on this sweet 2yr client horse. We are excited to see what we can accomplish in the next month!

Got in all 9 of the 2 year old fillies for the first time since we started them this winter. They all picked up right where they left off! There are two by Mecoms Little Amigo. One by Smoked N Crome Two by Alabama Bullet One by PC Sir Azure Frost (Western Fortunes Enrolled) One by KK Secret Magic (Western Fortunes and Barrels of Cash) One by Mars Red Hickory One by Bullet Thru Traffic (Western Fortunes and Barrels of Cash) We are very excited about this group of prospects and we can’t wait to watch them grow! We also have 9, 2 year old geldings, I will try to get a little clip of them soon!

The three mares that I missed yesterday! We have kept them closer to the barn just because they are supposed to be the first ones to foal! And our first baby arrived yesterday!

We moved most of our mares to the pasture we foal out in and I thought I would give everyone a little tour and introduce you to them! We never want to post anything when they aren’t sparking clean and standing perfect but this is real life. They are happy, healthy and it looks like they have all been rolling trying to shed their winter coats! I have been debating if we should do a Facebook LIVE every morning to show you the babies as they are arriving. What do you think? Do you want more foaling updates?
