With the end of the summer here, the Survivors’ Secretariat Youth Supporting Survivors Program (YSSP) has closed for the season. This youth-led program not only searches for the truth but also is a way to promote community involvement and intergenerational connections. The relationship between elders and youth is so important. We would love to hear from you – comment below on the questions posed in the video: 1. How do you think that we can bridge the gap between elders/Survivors and youth? 2. How have you connected to youth in the past and present? 3. What would you like to see going forward? 4. What events would you like to see carried out in the future? The Secretariat would like to thank all the students who participated in this years program. The passion that you have shown for helping all communities that have been affected by the Indian Residential School System has been exceptional. Nia;Weh/Migwetch, We Honour You! Our Youth Supporting Survivors’ program will be back next season. If you are interested in making a difference or would like to read more about our program sign up to receive our newsletter here: https://bitly.ws/VRgv This program would not be possible without the help of our sponsor National Indian Brotherhood (NIB), thank you for your ongoing support!
