Did you know that the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4 is drowning? The Lifesaving Society designates the third week in July as National Drowning Prevention Week (NDPW) to focus community and media attention on the drowning problem and drowning prevention. Would you be prepared to act in a drowning situation?

Many of the families served by Child and Family Services of Grand Erie struggle to make ends meet most months. The ability to secure all the items most needed by kids and youth to return to school prepared for a new school year is just not there for about 500 kids each year.
We want to ensure that children begin their new school year in equity with their peers. With dignity and with confidence that THIS year, could be the best one yet.
Can you help?
Feel free to donate NEW school items at:
The CFSGE Foundation Donation Centre
1185 Colborne St E, Brantford (call ahead 519 717-4612)
or

It's ! Every year on July 15, we encourage youth to acquire certain skills that will help them achieve personal success and fulfillment. The day also raises awareness about the lack of skills that prevent young people from working. As adults and caretakers, it is our job to nurture and initiate children into the bigger world of opportunity and responsibility. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3yhl2Sh

In cooperation with Indigenous organizations, the Government of Canada chose June 21, the summer solstice, for National Indigenous Peoples Day. For generations, many Indigenous peoples and communities have celebrated their culture and heritage on or near this day due to the significance of the summer solstice as the longest day of the year.
It's wonderful to see such a strong show of support for community agencies that are doing incredible work.
Thank you again to The Greens At Renton for your generosity in organizing and giving back to the community.
The numbers are finally in. We may not have met our goal but we still had a very successful day. With your help we were able to raise $47,894.22 to help 27 local charities!
We want to thank all of you who participated and helped us with giving back to our community.
We hope you can join us tomorrow to Celebrate National Indigenous People's Day!
