Jake’s Boards Charcuterie Plus

Last Charcuterie Board of the year... 😥
Cold weather is coming and that means SNOW ❄️
Can’t get the heat up passed 14 today and that makes it hard to wax boards and I can’t do epoxy... so next week is going to be spent cleaning up my garage so I can park in it... it’s been an incredible year thank you everybody that’s been buying my boards... I am looking forward to early spring, when I will be back to making my charcuterie boards...😎

So...last year at this time, I sold the board that was hanging in our kitchen, (that we never got to use I might add). Now I have made four boards this year to replace it... and they all sold before I got to hang them up in our kitchen...👍I guess that’s a good thing, but... my wife keeps reminding me that plumbers all have toilets and electricians all have electric lights; why don’t we have a charcuterie board?
So here is the last board of the year and guess where it is going...😎

Making another large party board trying to stock up for the party season although I don’t think the parties are going to be like they have been in the past years families are still going to get together👍

Well I’m not sure what inspired this but on my way home from the steel wheel brewery I came up with this in my mind so when I got home I picked out a board marked it up started cutting it and Valla here it is... Hope you like it...😎

Have about 8 boards on the go all in different stages...
The 2 in the video are cut, rough sanded and ready for final sanding before I start  applying my Jake’s Board butter...
So Julia says the handle that has become a favourite with me looks like an Irish harp so I think I’m gonna go with that after all it does kind of look like the harp on the can of Guinness beer... Cheers🍺

Just finished my latest board, it has five coats of Jakes Board Butter with the last coat buffed at 5,000 RPM to set a nice hard finish on it... At just under 5 feet I do believe it’s ready for a party...🎉

First coat of wax on and I’m going to try and get one more coat on tonight and it’s probably going to have another couple of coats tomorrow before I buff it up...😎👍

Started this board this morning a little bit off of take of the other handle that I like so much, but I’ve added some twist to it nice board, big board. Love the colours in it. It’s gonna be a fantastic charcuterie board...Just wet it down and we’ll see how it turns out tomorrow😎
