She loves me, she loves me not.
Thank you Jesse James for your trust to paint your fancy bag.
It took me some time to paint it as the voices in my head sweetly whispering “don’t f**k it up”. All in all inspiration came in perfect time as it always does, to bring you this intergalactic private moment between nature and machine.
The Goodness Tour is working in the shelters of St. Vincent and the Grenadines after the volcanic eruption, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Mobilisation and UNICEF. The power of creativity revealed. No more words needed. Watch and enjoy the beautiful vibes of children sharing their voice through color!
Thank you to the Ministry of National Mobilisation, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Child Protection, Ministry of Tourism, the local artists: Julian, Lee-Andra and Storm, UNICEF, the shelter managers, Paradise Hotel and of course, the children!
The Heart of Resilience Art Expedition continues… Rwanda is the essence of the Heart of Resilience, overcoming the atrocities of the 1994 genocide, embracing the reconciliation and has grown from a state of surviving to a vibration of thriving. We arrived in Rwanda, received by our dear friend Sam Gasana, and went straight into the meetings with the Director of the Rwanda Art Museum and the General Manager of all National Heritage and Museum sites.
This mural represents the pride that returns to a nation and honors the precolonial days of this beautiful culture! Four artists, two incredible Rwanda artists, Daddy and Louise, along with Azerine and I, came together to create two incredible murals on the front entrance of the National Rwanda Art Museum. This is the first. The grandmother emerges from the campfire and shares the wisdom in her earned wrinkles with the youth. The youth wear modern clothes and have the hairstyle of the past. The precolonial dance, drumming, the sacred cow, the high jumping and agricultural tradition are the foundation of this culture that celebrates the richness of the culture that lives in harmony in the land of a thousand hills. The drummers, painted in this African cubistic style, pays homage to the past masters that exhibit within the walls of the museum. In fact many of the artistic techniques were utilized to give a nod to the rich artistic expression of this culture of "milk and honey". The rope is tied between the horns of the sacred cow, representing the height of sacred dreams and the ability to actualize those dreams by jumping over them and then raising the bar higher and higher with every success story, maximizing human potential! A book could be written about the depth of the symbolism in this mural. This is a mere taste of such a spectacular culture, and we're so honored to have initiated and participated In such a monumental collaboration to bring the museum to the streets!
Thank you to Vivaldi, the general manager, the local artists and all of Rwanda! @ Kigali, Rwanda
The beauty of Congo featuring me before nap time...
After traversing by boats through what was once called the most dangerous place on earth, with a survival knife under the pillow, we were invited to stay in the most secure neighborhood in the country with a swimming pool, botanical gardens and a guard at the private gate, a block away from the president's office... And it happened literally over night.
This journey has transcended through space, time and all walks of life. We have given it our ALL, doing what we love, living a dream and contributing in the small way we can to the shift of narratives from the "Heart of Darkness" to the "Heart of Resilience"!
We express the most incredible gratitude to the entire Lunanga family who hosted us on both ends of the country and have welcomed us as family!
Stay tuned for the last mural in Democratic Republic of Congo and then we enter Rwanda to paint murals for the National Art Museum of Rwanda.
“After painting up the clinic in our last mural and receiving unanimous excited response throughout the town, it was suggested that Azerine De Luca and I painted another composition, the city’s official mural, to represent the important symbols of ecosystem and culture on the free standing government wall in Kinsangani’s Central Park, across the street from the mayor’s office. The Heart of Resilience Art Expedition welcomed a guest painter, Papa Africa, and the three of us went for it!
The Okapi is the official animal of the region; a mystical creature... a rare beauty. She’s at home among the tropical flowers and rushing rivers of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The man of Wagenia fishing village climbs in the woven basket to collect fish for his family and another man rows upriver in his hand carved wooden boat to sell crops. The woman in the Okapi represents the beautiful strength and courage of the Congolese woman who is the powerful glue that holds the family together. The sun shines upon Kinsangani, Tshopo, with security, opportunity and growth!
In collaboration with Rotary Club Kinsangani Okapi district 9150. The president Dr. Didier Boanga and his family showed up HUGE! And ALLIANCE France Consulate who covered the expense of paint and scaffolding, gigantic shout outs! And a big shout out to De Luca Painters and Dulux for the brushes!” -
Papa Africa, you rock! Thank you for selflessly showing up for your community and bringing your awesome Rasta love everyday to the wall!
Thanks to all of you individuals out there for helping make this dream project possible!

Here’s a little morning meditation for your timeline during these tumultuous times. This mural and I produced in Zanzibar at back in October.
Great things are just around the corner...
P.S We are overjoyed to receive news that the clinic has received multiple new patients in need, who learned about their services since the unveiling of our mural.

Story time! We just made it into the Bahamas as the boarders closed, our team was updated on social distancing procedures every week and had to re-adjust programing several times. We were set to commence the community mural with the children, until we got word that the Bahamas would be in full lockdown for 2 weeks meaning no social gatherings period. A heart-breaking blow as we cherish our time seeing the kids glow with joy and a paint brush in their hand. So, we decided to do the inevitable and get creative! we let our inner child go on over drive with the inspiration of a colouring book style mural. We would have to fill in the lines with as much youthful vibrance to inspire the kids once lockdown was complete. The final product had many folks in Cooperstown questioning which mural was their favoured. The first wall a serious technical mural with depth far beyond the stucco. The second a lively dance of the brightest colours in our repertoire. With the connection of energetic junkanoo a mirror to a community full of vivacious personalities. The perfect marriage of art, community and a celebration of individuality and intergraded friendship.
Symbolism: Junkanoo Abaco Parrot, The lighthouse guiding us to use our imaginations, innocence and unconditional love of all the birds, outer space to inspire the children to always reach for the stars, winds of change, the colourful electric underground creatures that are all connected in working together to cultivate the soil and demonstrate the reciprocal relationship of the ecosystem
A huge thank you to Tegwen and Graham, Treasure Cay Community Foundation, Friends of the Environment, MFI, the School and community and all that made this possible

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No it’s 56 x 27 foot “Standing in the Gap” mural for Missionary Flights International!
Symbolic references are woven throughout this composition. The deeper you look, the more you discover!
As MFI offers incredible life saving services post catastrophe throughout the Caribbean, symbols and flags of Haiti, Bahamas and Puerto Rico are depicted: the Haitian Palace and real life buildings after the earthquake, the Hopetown lighthouse of the Bahamas post hurricane Dorian and La Perla of Puerto Rico post hurricane Maria. From destruction and adversity comes blue skies of heart, love, hard work and faith... transforming curses into opportunities and love: the alchemy of transforming darkness into light!
The cockpit of their DC3 Has all of the switches, lights, gas gauges and even the compass in the exact position and readings that the pilot would see just before landing in Haiti, departing from Florida with supplies and doctors and service workers.
And so many more treasures: including my sailboat, the Haitian map in the eye of Paul the elder, the national flower of Haiti and Puerto Rico... juicy mangoes and more!

Giving the ol longboard a touch of nature. Just waiting for the paint to dry and I’ll set the ginkgo leaves in resin. Fun fact: Ginkgo biloba has been used since the 15th century for its healing property’s and now I shall heal my tired board with them!🍃
Oh man what a whirlwind of events have passed over the last two months.... you’ll have to forgive me for being caught up in the moment with the community to share with you all. The honour to paint with the profoundly beautiful community of Abaco who were heavily effected by hurricane Dorian was incredible. I’m so beyond grateful to call the abacos a second home and all of the people from all walks of life family love y ou all and I can’t wait to come back ❤️ big love to have partnered with art director/ international artist , joining us on the Water tower and then on, meeting the inspiring on the AID building and him marching on with the whole crew to and beyond sandy point
A recap of where we’ve been at and the amazing people we’ve met along the way ❤️ “In the village of Cherokee, Abaco, Bahamas painted the little school house, where 30 new students displaced from Marsh Harbour began attending after hurricane Dorian. During art class each student selected their favorite sea life and painted it into the wall. We are all in this together! Painted by , and the community! Thank you Cherokee for such a warm welcoming!!!” @ Cherokee Sound, Marsh Harbour, Bahamas
I also found our bday cake sketch in there and no I can’t read my writing either 🤷🏻♀️
Idk why but every time I buy a new sketchbook I misplace it and end up trying to find space in old ones... it’s always a nice little trip down memory lane
