What a blast it was planning the design, decor, and floral arrangements for our amazing couple at Hart House Restaurant! We've got a whole lineup of summer outdoor weddings coming up! Can't wait to bring those visions to life.

We love that our Venue Illustrations library is always growing! Recently we had the pleasure of illustrating the beautiful gardens of in Washington, DC. We are thrilled to see so many amazing venues outside of Vancouver.

Digital vs Physical? Do we rely on technology or fall back on tradition when it comes to invitations?
Of course there is no right or wrong answer to this...but I can list out my pros and cons list and hopefully this will give more insight:

PRO of Digital:
Easy, efficient and at a very low cost. Many templates available on websites such as Canvas to create your own invite
Faster way to sending out invites, especially if you are on a time crunch
CON of Digital:
May seem too informal
Some guests may not be as tech savvy

PRO of Physical:
Tangible, personal keepsake that will be cherished by many
Attention to details like textures, intricate designs which add to the overall aesthetic appeal
Great for detailed photo shots
CON of Physical
Cost more money and more time consuming
Environmental impact - paper contributes to waste and deforestation

Recently we have been getting a hybrid request for invitations. We are in a generation that is ruled by technology but still appreciates tradition. Many of our couples still want digital invitations but need less, and need a digital copy of their invite...which we find is a great compromise!

Regardless of what you choose, choose the option that aligns with your preferences, budget and values.
