Why donate to ALBERTA ANIMAL RESCUE CREW SOCIETY?
Well that would be an easy question to answer, I mean LOOK AT THAT SWEET FACE! 🐶

“My name is Tues and I am currently an animal in care at AARCS which means I’m not ready for adoption just yet. ‘Tuesday’- ‘Boom’ and my life changed forever. That was the day I was hit by a car. For a moment the pain was incredible and after that I don’t remember the details. However, I can certainly remember the warm, kind hands that picked me up and put me in the back of a vehicle. After that everything is a blank until I opened my eyes and felt someone gently stroking my fur. This person was talking to me softly, explaining that my leg required significant surgical repair and I would have to rest while my leg healed. Before long I was put into the back of another vehicle and taken to a place they call ‘my foster home’.
While in this home I have had plenty of time to rest while appreciating all the luxuries of an indoor life. There are three little people in this house who pet me, bring me treats, and tell me stories. I really enjoy all this attention but sometimes I get so excited I nibble on their fingers, jump on them, or lick their face…I just can’t help myself – I love them so much!! Thankfully all the people in this home are patient and realize I am still a puppy who has a lot left to learn about how to be the best dog I can be. If I do say so myself, I am pretty smart and learn quickly (especially when there are treats involved!)
Now that my leg has healed up and I am feeling SO much better I am learning new things every day. My foster family tells me that exercise is important and have been taking me on several short walks a day. Little do they know that when I am 100% healed I will show them how I can run like the wind and hope for a lifetime of long walking adventures. I’ve been told that this awesome home I am in loves me but that they cannot keep me forever because they have to open their doors for another furball like me to recover in. They have promised to find me a forever family who will grant me my every wish!
Please consider donating to AARCS so the amazing humans can continue to help animals like me and give us a second chance at being truly loved.”

Every animal deserves a chance to be loved❣️ Please go to sgsocial.ca and click on the DONATE button so AARCS can continue the great work that they do.

🎸 MUSIC FOR A CAUSE 🎸

We've had our time to reflect, now is the time to do. Originally delayed by COVID 19, we took the opportunity to reflect on our core purpose: building community – and found a way to both introduce ourselves and support our neighbourhood at the same time.

The Calgary Community Benefit is a collaboration to bring local artists to the StainGlass Social Stage, while offering Calgarians, and folk/country music fans from all over, the chance to come together and enjoy a musical evening in support of local organizations.

Over the course of an hour, and in a break from living room video chat concerts – STEVE NEWSOME, JUSTINE VANDERGRIFT, and BRADY ELSEN will present their work from our historic performance space – while we tell the stories of local organizations making a difference in our own front yard.

While we eagerly anticipate the return of real live music, we invite you to join us virtually, and share in the magic of The StainGlass Social. 🎙

🎥 Watch our spectacular, local, country artists from right here on JULY 5th, 2020 at 7PM mountain time. 🎶

06/05/2020

We are seeking collaborators to help us continue to develop this idea throughout 2020 and beyond. If you have an interest in digital content creation, creative strategy, or even just as a general volunteer for when we get back to real live events, we’d love to hear from you!

🌟 Calgary’s Heart Truly Does Beat Country; we would be thrilled to have you be a part. 🌟

⭐️ A little bit about us ⭐️

The StainGlass Social is a community grassroots, start-up in Calgary, Alberta – Canada's Capital of Country Music. Inspired by the songwriter tradition of Nashville, our vision is to become a cultural destination for folk and country music performance right here in Calgary.

Bringing together the intimacy of an underground club with the professionalism of a theatre stage, The StainGlass Social provides an opportunity to turn down the noise and listen in to the music.

The intent of our show is to give country folk musicians and fans, a chance to get away from the bar scene and share in their love of a great song.

Our focus is on Original Folk and Country Performing Artists and Songwriters; an evening on our stage will consist of 3-4 headline artists, backed by our professional house band. Opportunities to engage with fans and grow relationships within the artist community will be an integral piece of the evening as we believe community is truly what music is all about. 🎸
