Yep, it's best to wait at least 24 hours before consuming anything colorful after whitening because the pores in your enamel take at least that long to close up. Otherwise, you'll reverse the whitening results.

If you really need a coffee, drink it with a straw to try to keep it from contacting your front teeth 😎

Which powered toothbrush is the best???

From my experience and reading, I believe the Sonicare toothbrushes take the cake.

No, not just because they're pretty (although they certainly are that), but because of their technology.

They claim to brush 'beyond the bristles' using the liquid in your mouth to get into the little grooves if your teeth more than other brushes can.
This sounds a bit crazy, but my teeth certainly feel cleaner when using this brush, and I see the difference in my clients' mouths.

Also, they're really good at maintaining whitening results!

Oh, and you don't need the most expensive one, the basic one works just as well 😉

I often get asked how mobile dental hygiene works. In case you're wondering the same thing, I just basically bring my supplies and mobile dental chair (which looks mysteriously like a Zero Gravity chair) to your home and set up there. The space needed is around 2m×
2m.

Appointments usually take about 1 hour.

I am able to direct bill to most dental insurance companies, and charge according to the Alberta Dental Fee Guide.

Yep, a little sensitivity is pretty common with teeth whitening, but desensitixing toothpaste, such as Sensodyne, can help a lot!

It's a good idea to use this 2 weeks prior to whitening treatment and also use it afterwards.

One of the most common questions I get asked is whether a powered toothbrush is better than a manual toothbrush.
People can absolutely do a great job brushing with just a manual toothbrush, but the technique and time spent is really, really important.
There are many advantages of a powered toothbrush:
💓They often have pressure sensors to prevent people from brushing too hard and causing gum recession and sensitivity.
💓They usually have timers to encourage 2 minute brushing
💓They can simply accomplish waaayyy more brush strokes than your hand can
💓Some have additional technology to "brush beyond the bristles", getting into microgrooves in your teeth and reducing stain.
