This is the outside of my new workshop. it’s still pretty disorganized, but once I have it set up, I’ll show you around! To all you leather workers or creatives of any kind- what has been a MUST HAVE in your shop? I just got a mini fridge because. . . Snacks. Any other ideas?

There are a few more CANYON design wallets up and available as well. My last batch sold out. I will be slowly adding more, but for now there’s two really nice ones. One of these bad boys is made with GHOST leather. If you’ve been around, you’ll know I use it very rarely. It’s super cool leather that has a smooth wax coating, and as you use it and it gets roughed up a bit, it starts to fade into the leather colour underneath. In this case it’s a black wax with a navy blue leather at the core. This is a dope wallet, and definitely one of a kind.

What is the difference between full grain leather and genuine leather?

“Genuine Leather” is a term used to hoodwink and trick ya into thinking you are getting something high quality. FALSE. genuine leather is actually the lowest grade of leather. Let’s break it down:

When leather is in production, it is separated into different layers and below are a few of the kinds you will see advertised!

1. Full grain (Highest quality)
2. Top-grain (very good quality)
3. Genuine leather (overlaid with glue, paint, etc to make it uniform looking) -Usually user in mass produced items.

If a product has advertised or stamped “GENUINE LEATHER” - know that you are getting a lower quality product which will tarnish and potentially wear out after use.

I only use FULL GRAIN leathers, and when the products I make are well used, they look better over time and not worse. The only thing that might eventually break is hardware, but I offer a lifetime guarantee on those repairs.

INVEST in something better, that will last you forever.
