How we do it differently π At Botanical Point, our intake is VERY thorough. We examine current diet, health history, medications, lab results, posture, body alignment, tongue, and pulse. Often, our treatments include massage, tuning forks, fire cupping, and electro-acupuncture. We also offer πββοΈ Cosmetic Acupunture πββοΈ, which includes a face wash, exfoliation, face massage, facial gua sha, facial cupping, celluma LED, and a hydrojelly face mask. & of course, we only use the β¨οΈBESTβ¨οΈ organic spa grade cosmetic products. It is also not uncommon for our practitioners to ask you to keep a food journal - which we will go over together to help educate you on healthy diet choices for your specific constitution & ailment. Which is more painful? A needle the width of a few strand of hair or chronic pain/persistent symptoms of imbalance. Acupuncture is not painless. But neither are symptoms such as headaches, PMS, tummy aches, and body pain. Initially, in your Acupuncture treatment, you will feel the needles, but then your entire body will relax & usually you will drift to sleep on the table. Still worried?? We can also incorporate tuning forks into the treatment, so less needles are used. Aditionally, needles come in different gauges, and we have very thin 0.16mm needles that are used for near painless insertion. (For reference, the average injection needles guage used for a flu shot is 0.63mm.) Acupuncturist are trained to tailor the perfect treatment to your individual constitution and needs. The answer might surprise you! The tongue is basically an internal organ we can see on the outside π§ We don't use the tongue strictly to diagnose, but along with inquiry (asking questions), pulse and cupping marks- we can build a picture of what is happening in the body!
