Our hearts go out to the residents, firefighters, and wildlife impacted by the devastating wildfire in As a company dedicated to our community and environment, we are committed to supporting relief efforts.

On Friday, Bill Garries, a Life Member of the Alberta Fire Chiefs Association (AFCA), offered his help to arrange and deliver beef jerky to the first responders. The AFCA coordinated with the Chair of the Alberta NGO Council, who then worked with The Salvation Army in Canada to deliver the jerky to Hinton for distribution to the first responders.

Family-owned and operated in Calgary, Canada, we’re proud members of our community. We are dedicated to customer satisfaction and offer a variety of popular flavours at convenient retail locations and online.

Originally a sausage producer and delicatessen, William Klein founded Alberta Fancy Sausage Ltd. in 1971. As a master butcher, William brought skills honed in Germany to Calgary and customers at the shop would ask for “The Big Chief” when referring to him. When the switch was made from delicatessen to beef jerky manufacturer, the new brand “Big Chief” evolved.

The Big Chief difference is based on four decades of experience and dedication to quality. Our meat snacks are carefully tended during the curing process to ensure each portion maintains that tender bite and bold flavour that comes only from 100% Canadian beef!
