With warmer weather on its way we’re sure your bodies and minds are just itching to get out - what adventures are you looking forward to in the coming days?!

How do you like to do food on your bike packing trips?! We tend to do a mix of dehydrated meals for the days/nights we won’t be going through a town, otherwise we’ll pick up meals/snacks from local grocery stores and sometimes a roadside taco stand😍!

🏔 Happy International Mountain Day! The mountains draw us in time and time again, they offer a place to both find and lose ourselves, the adventures they give us shape our beings, their indifference reminds us of our own smallness! 🌄 Whether you find peace in their silent landscapes or challenge on their winding trails, we are so grateful for the impact these giants have on our lives!

In light of International Mountain day we took a few minutes to contemplate the moments, days, and trips in the mountains over the last few years and the impact they have had. Here are a few photos from some of our favourite moments, they represent moments when friendships were deepened, times where endless walking was a refuge, and times when it was ok to simply be and soak in all the beauty!

Some of the things we like to support are our local food banks, environmental initiatives at play in our backyard, and community initiatives in line with our values, below are some of our go - to's.

2️⃣ Friends of Kananaskis Country: Preserving the beauty of our backyard for future generations to enjoy. 🏞️💚

3️⃣ Girl in the Wild: You've heard us go on about them - but they send out female identifying youth on amazing backcountry trips to help build confidence!

Today we're choosing to give to the Calgary Food Bank as there has been a significant rise in those accessing the food bank in the past year (32%)! We encourage you to look into local opportunities where you can practice being generous whether it be with your time, resources, or other creative ways you can come up with!

If you came by to visit us at the Banff Film Fest the other day, you may have had the chance to try our new Chocolate Pudding. This dessert was made after Girl in the Wild reached out asking if we might have any dessert options we could send along on their trips this past summer. Girl in the Wild helps youth uncover their own wild through "adventure-based learning, honest, straight up conversation, and some seriously hip beats". With such a beautiful mission, we had to say YES, and so our vegan chocolate pudding was created. This pudding is now available on our website AND 100% of the profits from this pudding go straight to GITW to support their camps, so next time your grabbing some meals, don't forget to grab some chocolate pudding as well, you'll get a delicious after dinner treat and be supporting a good cause!

Some of us just completed a little bike packing trip and we did a mix of cooking on the go and picking up local options as we went (with a couple dehydrated meals packed just in case). What’s your favourite way to do meals when bike packing?

Fall has officially arrived🍂🍁. One of the things we appreciate about fall is there seems to be an innate permission to slow down. It seems there's more space to have a slow coffee in the morning, sit and enjoy the sunset. And it doesn't hurt that you don't have to get up at 3am to go for a sunrise hike!

Did you know it's World Gratitude Day today?! We have countless things to be grateful for these days, but we wanted to take a moment to highlight two that really stick out to us.

1. You guys! The folks that show up to purchase our meals, give us feedback, tell your friends about our meals, share your pictures, send encouraging words. Thank you!
2. Our friends and family that help us to brainstorm, problem solve, stamp bags, taste test, take pictures, listen, and show up. Thank you!

Over the next couple of weeks part of our team will be living life from a bike🚲🏕️, that means that Ashley will be stepping in to fulfill all your online orders, answer questions, and generally wear all the WME hats! Say hi if you see her on the trails!

We were pretty stoked about this as we love getting behind cool people doing cool things, and Kim McMullen definitely falls under that category🤩! Kim started Girl in The Wild, a non-profit organization, for self-identifying teenage girls and non-binary youth. Through adventure-based learning, honest conversation, and much more, these youth gain the "wisdom to rise n' conquer"! This past summer GITW ran two week long camps, and we may have heard a rumour that next summer they are hoping to run even more camps⛰️!
