This annual celebration brings together some of the best restaurants and bars in the world to craft creative takes on the classic Negroni cocktail, all while supporting charitable causes. Originating in Italy, the Negroni has become a global favorite, known for its perfect balance of gin, vermouth, and Campari. This week, Bonterra joins the festivities with unique, regionally-inspired Negronis that offer a modern twist on tradition.

At Bonterra, we’re featuring three signature Negronis:

🍋 Amalfi Negroni: A bright and zesty variation featuring Malfy Lemon Gin, Carpano Antica Vermouth, and Campari, garnished with a lemon wheel for a refreshing finish.

🍍 Sardinia Negroni: A tropical-inspired mix with Last Best Fortunella Gin, pineapple, Orgeat, and Campari whip, served in a tall Collins glass and garnished with a pineapple leaf and orange wheel.

🍒 Modena Negroni: A rich, cherry-infused take, combining Confluence Gin, Stambecca Cherry Amaro, and Amarena Cherry Syrup, topped with a Campari-infused cherry.

Staff Spotlight: Meet Amanda.

1) Where are you from?

“I was born and raised in Banff actually. I lived there until I was 18. I moved to London and then to Calgary and then to Vancouver and then back!”

2) How would you describe Bonterra to somebody who has never been before?

“It’s an amazing place, the food is SO good. They always tell you that in a job interview, run if they say working there feels like you’re with family, but here feels like the exception - truly. It is like family. Everyone is so friendly and I think that energy just really brings out the essence of the food and the atmosphere and the vibe and everything. And this patio is to die for.”

3) Who is Amanda outside of the industry?

“I have three cats and cats are everything to me. I am a collector of mid-century modern furniture. I probably have about 55 black velvet paintings in my home. I like thrifting, I like vintage, I like curation. I like hunting down bargains for stuff like that.”

- Please register your license plate with the hostess upon entering

- In Bonterra, the registration tablet is available right beside the host stand through the front doors

- In Posto, the registration tablet is on the inner wall of the back hallway (behind the ‘Aperol Spritz’ sign)

- Guests are allotted 3 free hours of parking - if unregistered or any time exceeding this may put guests at risk for receiving a ticket through Indigo Parking

Cocktail of the Day: the Lollobrigida.

Created with Gabry bubbles and garnished with fresh passion fruit, this beautiful bevvy is inspired by Gina Lollobrigida. Born in Subiaco, Italy, Gina Lollobrigida was a prominent European actress and s*x symbol throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Her performance in “Beautiful but Dangerous” (1955) earned her the title of the “the most beautiful woman in the world”.
