Hey CASA Squad! This year we’re brining back our equity initiative. If you are in need of financial assistance, the league is proud to be offering equity spots for the 2023 season. CASA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is coming up on Monday October 24th!   CASA has experienced a lot of growth over the past five years starting with 8 teams in its first season and expanding to 14 teams this past year!   Please come out to the AGM to be a part of the discussion, hear an overview of the results of our 2022 survey and help elect the board to steer the league through its 6th season!

⚾️ Pride Slam! ⚾️

Registration opens Wednesday August 17th at NOON.

What is Pride Slam?
It is a one-day tournament is on Saturday September 3rd, 2022 from 9:30AM to 3:30PM. Players will be randomly placed on teams in advance of the tournament and will play three games. There will be no requested buddies this year. This is a great way to meet and connect with new people. There will be tons of prizes handed out, as well Spolumbo’s lunch and non-alcoholic beverages.

Sounds fun, how much ?
The cost to register is $10 (plus a small service fee to process the payment)!

Registration will be open on our website or until we are sold out or untill Noon on Wednesday August 31. Register early to secure your spot!

Pride Month is so important because it marks the start of huge change within the LGBT+ community, as well as the wider societal implications. Although attitudes and injustice still remain, we have come a long way since the riots of 1969 and by continuing in this long standing tradition we continue to raise awareness, improve the attitudes of society and encourage inclusiveness.

Who Started the June Celebration?

Known as the “Mother of Pride”, it was Brenda Howard who coordinated the first LGBT Pride march. As well as sparking the idea for a week of events around Pride Day. These events then developed into the annual LGBT celebrations held every June.

What is Mx CASA ?

Teams select one individual to compete in our annual Drag Competition which will be judged by local celebrities. The winner gets crowned Mx CASA 2022! We recommend you select your Queen or King as soon as possible as you will need to lip sync for your life ♥️
