Although this is a private event, the Tipis will be open from 10 – 12 and again from 3 – 5 with interpreters on site to share the Elders’ conversation with the public. Elders across Canada have faced incomparable hardships and it is of great importance to send them the gratitude they deserve. Ahead of National Indigenous Peoples’ Day, students of the Niitsitapi Learning Centre wish to send their appreciation, words of affirmation, and the gift of a cultural blanket to our Elders of Calgary.
