TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT! We’re having a FREE dance party to celebrate that I have somehow lasted 50 years on this earth (the date is technically the 30th but we’re a bit busy next weekend with a music festival ;) so I really hope you can all make it down even if just for a little bit to hang out, dance, have some drinks, engage in some top quality people watching because the Dickens crowd is the best… whatever works for you. I’m not entirely sure how this happened but I seem to have been alive for half a century and now you’re all invited to my birthday party. That’s right, I’m turning 50 in July (the 30th to be exact) and I’m throwing a FREE dance party event at Dickens on Saturday, July 20th to celebrate. I would be delighted if every one of you could make it down to say hi, have some food and drinks, and dance the night away with me to a soundtrack that will take us through 50 years of killer tracks!
The last Hang The DJ of the summer is coming up on Friday, July 5. It’s our “Escape The Stampede” edition and we promise you’ll be in a fully Stampede-free zone at Dickens. Come and hang out with us and dance to classic alternative and underground club hits from the 80s, 90s, 00s and beyond. Fun is a guarantee.

It’s been 7 months since our last 90s dance party so I think it’s time for another round. These are always a ton of fun especially when people get into the cheesy 90s outfit vibes. To be clear, this is a 90s dance music night. It is NOT a 90s alternative night. There won’t be any grunge or Britpop etc. This will be a night of Daft Punk, Fatboy Slim, Snap, Technotronic, Robyn S, Black Box, Aqua, Haddaway and you best believe the Vengabus will be pulling up at some point.
