With the exterior just about finished, and the interior well underway, we're preparing to finish the building and hand it over to our property manager, Vivenda

At 1.5m in diameter, these are no small machines, and this one can produce up to 1000W in ideal conditions!

These projects are all a part of our ongoing commitment to the environment, and making improvements for our residents - like adding wind to our sources of renewable electricity at Lumino Park, along with our solar arrays!

Happy Earth Day from all of us at Kanas! This has been a monumental year for our developments, and we've been so happy to honor our commitment to the environment every step of the way.

From generating power on-site, building superior building envelopes, trapping waste products and CO2 in our concrete, and more, sustainability remains as one of our core tenements.

Orion is the tallest ICF building in Western Canada, and certified BUILT GREEN® Platinum, with a state-of-the-art cogeneration system providing 534 KW of electricity to the development.

Sustainability is one of our core tenements, and we try to extend that to everything we do.

That includes using concrete making techniques that reduce emissions and keep hazardous chemicals out of the landfill, and our waterways!

As with all our buildings, we use our own house brand, energy-star rated appliances from Fletcha! We include appliances such as the efficiency microwave/oven combo, induction stoves, high flow stove hoods, and low water-usage dishwashers.

Not only electricity is important however, saving water is made easy with our high efficiency flow toilets, and cleaning underneath them is a breeze!

It's been a few months since our last update on The Forge in University District, and a lot has changed!

We've reached and started working on the roof, and some of the lower floors are being framed, with HVAC, plumbing and electrical installed.

Check back in a few more months, and we're hoping to have made some more progress on University District's newest residential apartments.
