Commissioned by our dear friends at @reboundcys (aside: an outstanding organisation, helping our youth to strive towards being the very best young adults they can be), I was honoured to be asked to produce a pair of Corporate signs for both the main reception area, and also the boardroom. Those Christmas ornaments led to a massive amount of DM’s, which obviously upset FB’s AI bots, resulting in a locked account in the run-up to Christmas!) I received a load of 5V RGB colour-changing LED lights - powered through USB… so I amended the previous base design ~everso slightly~ to accommodate the marginally wider LED strips. These LED’s have a multitude of colours/effects (all controllable via remote) and can be powered via: - a computer USB port - a USB port on a TV(?!?) - a USB phone charger - a wall outlet/extension cord with USB capability - a portable, rechargeable 5V output power pack (as shown here) This design is awesome for ‘Makers’ attending craft shows, because they’re light, fully collapsible, and don’t need 110v power/a generator/nuclear fusion power plant behind them(!) or: just cool & funky night-lights! Best part? You can choose your own design/logo , and then ‘hot swap’ the acrylics for different purposes/seasons/reasons! Wiring test (these 12V LEDs can be a pain to work with, so checking to ensure I didn’t mess up the polarities when soldering these suckers up!!🤣) I just don’t trust these ‘fake’ 3M strips on the back of the LEDs, so I’ll hot-glue the strips in place, and also hot-glue the solder points & wires to provide a degree of ‘strain relief’ before closing this up with the acrylic cover… But: test = SUCCESSFUL!

Finished-up the custom under-seat speaker boxes for a classic ‘64 Thunderbird, so had to put ‘em to a quick test on a spare jerry-rigged Bluetooth amp I had kicking around… I was very quietly impressed by the midrange and bass performance from these little boxes, if I may say so myself! (Now I only hope that they fit in their intended location!! 😬🫣
