Haven’t been doing a lot of pull-ups because neck wouldn’t allow! So feeling bad ass today!! Lifting 170 pounds is not easy 🤣

Welp! It’s been a hot minute! Had to take a break from squatting because of my neck, got a procedure done the other day and feeling some relief. I’m back to the bottom for weight, but I like it there because it makes me push! Remember always that we have to start somewhere. I used to be able to squat almost 300 pounds until life happened. And now I have 135 on the bar and I’m on top of the world to be able to do it again. We are all in different places but please believe me that as we age if we are not building muscle your losing muscle, let’s help our future selves me able to prevent injury, and do the things we love ❤️

Today I give grace to myself for learning something new. Something that brings me joy! Do the things that bring you joy. Yesterday I drove to a class, full of men that have been doing this for years. I was so nervous. I put my head down and grinded, i felt accomplished and exhausted when I was done. I went to a new place to try a sauna, booked a punch pass, committed to doing that for myself. And went out for supper with myself! Ha! I feel rested mentally from it! And it gave me a boost. Please do something for yourself in whatever way that looks like for you. We spend so much on everyone which is amazing but we need to do us, feed our souls!
