Candle making involves burning and testing a lot of candles. While I've been away from social media, I have been testing some pillar candles and tea light candles to make them burn better and perform better.

Also looking forward my next shipment of beeswax.

When I started Deepum, it was a conscious choice to use Beeswax and since then I have continuosly made an effort to keep free of any unnatural additives. That also goes into the design of the candles.

This was my first attempt at making the full design by hand using just wax. I am so excited can't wait to make more and make these available to you.

Deepum - It is a word from my native language (Telugu) which literally translates to 'light' or a 'small flame.'

While it is obvious why I chose this name for my candle making business, it also feels right for the times that we are in. A small flame is all that's needed to evade the dark. It also speaks to who I am and my roots.

I love these little containers because of the way it reflects the light.
