Our fun HAPPY TRAILS leggings are a perfect reminder of all things summer: camping, hiking, canoeing, - all the wonderful experiences of summer. Cheers to great memories made around a bonfire!

☀️ SUNCATCHER ☀️ is our inaugural print for our Leggz of Art Program. The artwork on these leggings is from an Indigenous artist, Tracey Metallic. Tracey’s story of the Suncatcher is a deeply passionate one born of her journey through struggles and depression. Through her art, she found an outlet to express herself. These leggings combine Suncatcher and elements of Tracey’s other artwork to create this beautiful limited edition print.

Here is an excerpt from Tracey’s writing, My Story, Our Story:

“I wake up each morning with these lessons and I call them gifts. I wrap those gifts around myself and imagine reaching out to that beautiful sun in an effort to catch its strength, to catch its beauty and its purpose. To rise each day and to draw all that back into my spirit. To catch all the good. To feel the deep love I now have for myself and to embrace the opportunities that may have passed me by had my eyes not been opened.

I am so thankful for the path my life has taken, that I can only look up to the stars each night as I whisper to them a prayer for the morning sun.

I know now that there’s nothing in life I cannot overcome. There’s nothing in life you cannot overcome.

Our strength is not in who we once were, but who we are destined to become.

We are Suncatchers.”

🎨 Introducing our LEGGZ OF ART PROGRAM! 🎨
We have been working on this project for months now and launch day is finally here! We are SO excited to bring you this program which creates an amazing opportunity to highlight a Canadian artist and provide:
💋 a platform to be recognized;
💋 a social media campaign;
💋 a network of our amazing Stylists & customers across Canada!
We built the Leggz of Art program in alignment with our core values and company goals of building environments for women to be self- supporting, surrounded, and strengthened by a network of like-minded peers.
This program sees $1 from every pair sold is being donated to a charity that supports women in alignment with the artist and our company goals.
In collaboration with She's Got Leggz, our first artist, Tracey Metallic, has chosen The Bloom Group and Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society.

Our JUNE featured charity is The Canadian Centre for Gender & Sexual Diversity! 🏳️‍🌈 This month our FOR THE CAUSE leggings are helping run programming all over Canada that promotes gender and sexual diversity in all its forms through services in the areas of education, health, and advocacy.
👉 $5 from every pair of FOR THE CAUSE Leggings sold will be directly donated to the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity.
Let's spread the leggings love and help us support their mission to create a world without discrimination through empowerment and education. 🏳️‍🌈

Meet TRACEY METALLIC
Tracey's Canvas - Mi'gmaq Artist - Tracey Metallic

A Mi'gmaq Artist and Social Worker born and raised on the shores of the Restigouche River in New Brunswick, Canada.
Graduated from St. Thomas University (Fredericton, NB Canada) in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts, Human Rights, and Native Studies, and a Bachelor of Social Work in 2008
Graduated from Wilfred Laurier University (Waterloo, ON, Canada) in 2013 with a Masters of Social Work
Metallic’s brother passed away in 2003. Six months later her sister died and then she lost her mother.
In 2015, she was an in-house social worker teaching self-healing classes. Suffering from depression herself, it wasn’t a tough decision for her to decide to practice her own teaching.
Tracey's career in painting was launched as a therapeutic outlet. She began painting cartoon characters for her grandchildren.
Upon sharing her work on social media Tracey began receiving requests for abstract paintings.
Her talent found expression as a founding member of Pugwalesg, a Mi'gmaq women's hand drum group.
Tracey’s artwork reflects much of her own journey in life and she believes that everyone is on their own journey looking to better their lives and to put everything they have experienced into retrospect.
