Just a cinnamon bun and scone appreciation post 🤎💛♥️ Scrumptious additions to any brunch table or quite frankly just ‘cuz.

My Wolf ‘em Down Cinnamon Buns (thank you to my neighbour for inspiring the name) are super soft and fluffy, bursting with gooey cinnamon filling and are the closest I could get to a Cinnabon roll (minus the cream cheese frosting) without infiltrating their test kitchens and going full blown undercover spy.

And ahhh the scones…soft, tall and buttery with crispy edges and fillings to suit any hankering. Decadent and so so delicious.

***NEW FLAVOUR***

Channeling my childhood with the newest addition to the Dolcetto family: Nutella cupcakes 🤩 Nutella filled vanilla sponge with Nutella buttercream, topped with a hazelnut praline. These are mini versions, but nothing should stop you from having a full size 😉

In the second picture they are accompanied by strawberry minis: soft vanilla cake filled with strawberry reduction, or goop as I like to call it and topped with a strawberry buttercream🍓

Pricing on some items has changed; I noticed I was not on par with my fellow small business bakers and that’s not doing anyone any favours.

I made this cake.

I don’t usually do cakes, but a very special little girl turned one recently and I couldn’t have been more honoured to be entrusted with the celebration cake. Vanilla sponge with quick homemade strawberry jam and Swiss meringue buttercream.

These Berry Lemony cupcakes are as refreshing as a cupcake can get on an abnormally warm spring day.

A pillowy lemon sponge filled with a dollop of tangy lemon curd and topped with the most flavourful strawberry buttercream (no food colouring here!) & a strawberry meringue for good measure = warm weather treat perfection 🍋☀️🍓

Enter the sumptuous Cookie Dough Cupcake. Pillowy brown butter sponge speckled with dark-ish chocolate chips, smooth Swiss meringue buttercream topped with a soft cookie dough morsel and speckled with a bit more chocolate pieces. Glass of milk not included.

These minis are strawberry swirl cupcakes with a caramelized white chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream. A bit of a mouthful in more ways than one 😊 I decorated these for a special little one’s second birthday. 🎈

Omne trium perfectum. Triple Salted Caramel and Triple Chocolate Cupcakes. The old Latin saying definitely got it right 😉 it translates to “everything perfect comes in threes”.

Fun fact: I studied Latin for four years during high school in Italy. And here I thought it would never come in handy…sure showed me.

Going into the weekend dessert in hand. First Dessert Box is filled with Strawberry Jam Cupcakes with a Caramelized White Chocolate Buttercream that is just to die for and Lemon Meringue and OG Chocolat Chip NY Cookies.

Second Dessert Box is an Olive Oil Cake accompanied by OG Chocolate Chip and Kinda Loaded NY Cookies.

Definitely a great way to spoil you mum (or mother figure) on Mother’s Day. ☺️🍓🧁🍊🍪

I made this order last week for a 95th birthday and I will say, what an honour that was! I’m so grateful to have been able to contribute to such a milestone occasion ☺️ These little beauties were chocolate fudge with classic buttercream and vanilla bean with Swiss meringue buttercream…queue drool effect.
