A *BIG* Congratulations to Edmonton Oilers General Manager Ken Holland on Executing his Final Trade Deadline in Edmonton as GM in such Great, Eventful Fashion.

We gave it an Official A-Rating, 75%!

Nothing Amazingly Flashy Resulting in an A+, but enough effective moves that push them over the top so they can compete now in any type of game they want to play.

They magician'ed essentially a 2nd-Round-Pick (Late 1st-Rounder) for not only a 3rd but also 4th Line Center!

This something the Oilers have needed both for a Decade+!

Sure the Oilers could ideally use a Top 6 Right Winger, or Top 4 Defenceman or Solid Veteran Back-Up Goalie; but this isn't a Perfect World. Every-Single-Team has flaws and holes, even every Team that eventually goes onto Win the Stanley Cup.

With the re-ability to bring up the likes of Sam Gagner, Dylan Holloway for the Playoffs, we lost No Roster Players and only gave up what we don't care for in this run, Draft Capital. Including not giving up any Top Prospects.

We got Tougher to play against, we Finally have a Shut-Down checking line which we've Never had it seems and some Extra-Depth to boost.

As far as we should all be concerned Ken Holland pulled a proverial 'rabbit out of a hat' on this 2024 Deadline with all that logistical Salary-Cap Retention, especially. He is used to not wanting to play Hard-Ball and give a fair-shake return, but this year - in his last in OilCountry with Edmonton - he played hard-ball and Won-Out.

We should All Thank Ken. We should All be Grateful for what we did get. Great Players, even Better People and a Real Chance to Finally do what we've had Promise to do for some time now. Rather than looking at what we don't have or didn't get, let us rejoin in what we did get and do have.
