Ladhani Consulting
We help businesses making a lasting impression online by providing social media management and consulting services .
Repeat after me: you are not your ideas!
That means the good AND bad ideas. You are your insights, your skills, your problem-solving and so much more. You must let go of shaping your identity based on ideas that worked well or ideas that didn't work well.
When we are objective and detach our ego from our good ideas, it enables us to see how things are and not how we want them to be.
When we don't define ourselves by our ideas that went wrong, it allows us to problem-solve effectively. It also helps us to take more risks and bring forward ideas that are out of the box!
Remember: your value lies in the ex*****on of your ideas and your ability to problem-solve when things go wrong. Not ONLY in the ideas you present.
Do you agree? Would love to hear your thoughts on this!
Social media metrics made EASY!👇
Social media metrics can get SO overwhelming! It's hard to know which metrics really matter.
So...here's our cheat sheet!
The metrics you track should match the social media goal of your post or campaign.
Keep a lookout, as we will be sharing more content on metrics and how to analyze them in the next few weeks. 💫
Using inclusive language ensures that consumers feel a sense of belonging to your brand. It also helps to decrease discrimination and negate stereotypes. 🌟
From a marketing standpoint, if you fail to use inclusive language you could distance your brand from potential clients.
There is no reason why you shouldn't be using inclusive language!
Here are our tips👇
- Only describe race if it's relevant to your post. If you don't know someone's race, then don't assume it (describe skin colour instead).
- Make age less specific to get out of the habit of ageism and limiting what certain age groups should look and act like.
- Use gender-neutral language, and don't assume anyone's gender identity or pronouns (unless you know the person, then list their name and pronouns) so that we can break away from assumptions of what certain genders should look like.
- If you make a mistake, learn from it, and take ownership!
Can anyone else relate to needing subtitles when watching any movie or tv show? 😂
I always have my subtitles on! This especially comes in handy when I'm cooking or blowdrying my hair and can't hear the audio correctly haha.
As video content has become popular recently, it is important to remember to caption your videos too!
Here's why:
🌟 Benefits everyone! From folks with hearing impairments to those who are watching videos in a non-native language. It can also benefit people who are like me and prefer having captions on.
🌟 Great for SEO and increasing video engagement.
🌟 Helps individuals learn & retain the information better.
Our tips:
🌟 If you can, provide full captions rather than simply summarizing what is said. This helps to clearly communicate your message more accurately to your audience.
🌟 Utilize the automatic captions feature on Instagram (with stories and reels) by clicking on the stickers button in the top right corner of the filming screen. From there select captions, and be sure to check that all the automatically generated captions are accurate to your dialogue, making any changes as necessary.
🌟 Alternatively, you can download the Captions app & it will generate captions for your videos as well.
Save this post so you can refer to it later! ❤️

It's time to start putting a conscious effort into having diverse representation in your content! 🙌
By having a diversified presentation of age, race, gender, sexuality, ability, and body type, you're allowing more of your audience to see themselves reflected in your content which validates their identities, and in turn, helps them connect more deeply with your brand.
Don't forget! When doing this, it's important to consider the target audience for your content.
For example, if you are creating content for a kid's dance class, you wouldn’t show a diverse age range.
Share this post to encourage others to have diverse representation in their content! ❤️

Don't make this HUGE mistake. ❌👇
It's SO easy to get caught up in the instant gratification of sales and to have that be your main focus.
However, you can't forget about the importance of brand awareness.
Of course, sales are great! The danger becomes when you decide a marketing tactic is not worth doing because it doesn't get you an instant sale.
An automotive purchase decision study done by Nielsen in 2018 concluded that "90 percent of all purchase intent is due to unaided — or top-of-mind — awareness."
This stat isn't just relevant for the automotive industry.
Most of our purchase decisions are done subconsciously.
Think about it...if people don't know you exist or don't think of you, you won't be considered when they are ready to make a purchase.
When they're ready to purchase a product or service, you want to be one of the FIRST brands they think of.
If you're targeting someone when they're ready to make a purchase, it's most likely too late.
Brand awareness tactics will not always give you instant gratification. However, long term (assuming your marketing strategy & plan are based on research, data and aligned with your business goals), it WILL pay off.
Social media is extremely effective for increasing brand awareness. You can measure brand awareness on social media by looking at your reach, impressions, and engagement rate.

When it comes to making a good first impression, every second counts.
Consumers take less than 7 seconds to form a first impression on a brand. Also, 97% of consumers use online media to research a product or service.

In the beginning of this year- I had the classic New Year's goal to start working out. I used to dance a lot but I took quite a big break from it! I was really missing physical activity.
Someone told me this quote and it really stuck with me. With working out, I was so scared of doing it wrong that it stopped me from getting into it. This quote gave me the courage to let go of perfection and give working out a shot.
I started off with working out for 10 minutes some days and didn't follow a plan or any rules. Slowly, I worked my way up to creating more structure in my workouts and now, I don't miss a day of working out.
Clearly, I didn't start here. I also didn't see results or get in a routine after 1 month. Or even 3 months. It took me 8 months to be consistent and see results from working out.
The best things come with letting go of perfection and being consistent! Through doing something "badly", you actually become really great at it.
So if you've been procrastinating trying to do something in your business or personal life, I suggest you do it "badly" first.
Doing it "badly" is better than not doing it at all!
Happy Friday!! 🌟❤️
It's been a minute! I've been doing a lot of exciting behind the scenes work & am looking forward to posting more content! 🎉
I had the privilege of working with Technology4Seniors from April- September to launch their non-profit organization online.
Technology4Seniors is a non-profit that allows seniors to connect virtually with ease with the use of Alexa.
They're an amazing organization, check out their website here: https://www.technology4seniors.ca/
Here's my take on this question.👇
I get this question A LOT. Especially with Tik Tok!
The answer? You don't have to be on every platform. 😱
I recommend that you actually only start with 2-3 platforms. You should choose your platforms based on your target market, content strategy, and industry.
Ask yourself these questions:
- What platform is being used by my target audience?
- What types of content are being shared on each platform? Does this align with my content strategy?
- What platforms do other businesses in my industry use?
It's better to be exceptional at a few platforms than average at several platforms. Which social media platform is your favorite? 🌟
Social media burnout is a REAL thing. 📱
I was feeling burnt out the past few weeks which is why I took a much-needed break from posting on my own platform.
Showing up every day on your platforms is ideal. However, you also need to take care of yourself & take the time you need to recharge. ❤️
TRUST ME. Your business will survive & be there when you’re back.
During this social media break, I still signed clients and focused on hiring to build my team.
Taking a break on social media doesn’t mean you let your business go. It means that you can recharge while focusing your energy on other aspects of the business. 💪
You don’t have to disappear for a long period of time (although there is no shame in that either)! Even taking small breaks, can be super helpful.
Here are my best tips for preventing & addressing social media burnout:
✅ Set some time each day where you don’t go on social media
✅ Schedule your posts so you can still remain active without being on the platform
✅ Turn off your notifications
✅ Go for a walk without your phone
✅ Give yourself permission to take a long break if you need it
How do you prevent social media burnout?
Something has changed...
QR codes are making a comeback! 🙌
Covid has also helped QR codes gain popularity. You can now find QR codes in most restaurants!
MDL Marinas implemented a QR code in their marketing communications and got 900 email sign-ups in 3 weeks! How crazy?!
You can check out the article here: https://www.targetinternet.com/qr-code-marketing-case-study-qr-codes-helped-us-capture-900-signups/
The amazing part about QR codes is that they are easy and quick to scan. This cuts out extra steps, making conversions a lot easier!
They also bridge the gap between offline and online marketing. QR codes enable you to track the success of offline marketing tactics.
You can use QR codes in any traditional print media or even have them on display in a retail space. You can also add them to the back of your business card! They can lead to signing up for an email list, your social profiles, coupon codes, giving your business a review, and more.
Creating a QR code is super easy too! Google "QR code generator" and you'll find it right away.
The possibilities are endless! Have you considered using QR codes for your business? 🎉
Are you a busy business owner and can't find the time to post on social media?
Are you overwhelmed with how much there is to learn about social media?
Do you dread posting on social media consistently?
Then hiring a social media manager may be the right move for you!
A social media manager's job is to alleviate your stress by handling everything related to your social media. This includes: creating content, writing captions, engaging with other accounts, hashtag research and more!
A social media manager ensures that your brand is represented in the best possible way on social media.
Most importantly, hiring a social media manager allows you to focus on other aspects of your business!
