🌿 How to water your kokedama 🌿

Place your Kokedama in a bucket or bowl filled with water.
Allow the moss ball to fully submerge and soak for 10-20 minutes, or until ball feels heavy. Remove from bucket and gently squeeze out excess water. Allow to drip dry before putting back on display. Water more frequently in Summer and less in Winter – most plants will do well in bright indirect sunlight.

Upcycling unused household objects such as candle holders, display trays or wooden salad bowls can help reduce waste products.

It not only is it environmental friendly, pairing it with a beautiful Kokedama plant makes it a unique decorative addition to any home!

Watering our plants can easily be the most forgettable task in our routine. Usually by the time you remember to water them, they are in a desperate need of some TLC.

What I would recommend to do is to water your plants on the same day of every week, at the same time. If you water them on a certain day and time, you know you will always have slot saved for that specific task. Setting an alarm on your phone or computer can help supplement the routine in your schedule!

To ring in the New Year, I am introducing a new series on Instagram to show case some beautiful kokedama displays I have done in the past year!

Up first is the Polka Dot Begonia!

This gorgeous house plant features unique silver spots on the bright green leaves with red undersides. This plant produces clusters of white flowers with yellow centers within a single stem. Flowering typically occurs during the spring and summer months.

One of our most asked questions is "How often do I water my Kokedama?"

The answer lies within the moss ball itself! Water the kokedama moderately when the moss ball feels light or dry.
