Cubbies 2023 season comes to a close after getting shutout in game 2. Best of luck to a good team in the finals and at nationals. To no shock, Chappy will be back next year. See you in 2024 with rumours of some former Cubbies coming out of retirement.

Cubs lose a back and forth thriller last night to the A’s 6-5. Brenden Wiun gutted out 6 quality innings for the club but some costly defense behind him gave him the loss.

A’s took the lead in the 6th on a bunt play that saw Josh Croft get run over covering first on an unfortunate play that scored two A’s runs. Back at it tonight at CP9 for a must-win game.

Cubbies scrap a few late but lose 7-4 to the A’s to end the regular season.

North Playoffs begin Monday in Sherwood for
a best of three series with the winner taking on the winner of the South.

Cubbies finish 3rd in the Riggers tourney this weekend. Game was tied 5-5 in the last inning of the semis until Sherwood put up a 7 spot.

The Cubs, as always, won the party. Thanks again to pickups Mitch Chicoine, Taylor Kipnes, Markus Koot and Ryan Passmore for coming out! Back at it Thursday 7pm at Remax against, you guessed it, the Sherwood Park A's.

Cubs can’t complete the season sweep on the Tigers. Lost a wild affair to them in extras 5-4. Back at it next week to finish the regular season and then playoffs begin July 31st.

Here is the remaining Cubbies schedule for the regular season. Tonight the Cubs head to the jungle to face off vs the Tigers in an unusual 8pm start.

Note: An additional regular season game vs the A’s is TBD.

Here is the upcoming schedule for the Cubbies. Tonight at REMAX the Cubs host the A’s at 7pm. Then the Cubs are on the road for 3 in a row. 1 in Sherwood Monday and then a doubleheader in Calgary to face the Rockies next weekend.

Also to note two games were rescheduled to later dates. Here are the new game dates below:
July 19- Cubs @ Tigers - 8pm start
July 27- A’s @ Cubs- 7pm start

The Cubs Magic Number is 1. With a win tonight the Cubs would clinch a playoff spot.

Round 1 of the playoffs would begin July 31st.

CABC Men's AAA Top 10 Rankings (June 26th, 2023) We had so much fun with this last time that we decided to make this a bi-weekly deal for the season. We will now release our 2nd edition pof the CABC Men's AAA Top 10 Rankings. The list is meant to have some fun and grow the sport of baseball at the Men's AAA level.

Final game of the 4 game set vs the Padres tonight at Footz. Tony Olson makes his season debut on the bump.

Brenden Wiun flirts with a perfect game, but gives up his only hit against in the 6th in a dominant complete game performance.

Cubs move to 8-3 in the regular season.

The entire starting lineup had a hit lead by Josh Fisher with a 3 hit night.

Back at it tonight on the road at Wally Footz vs the Padres.
