My little baking corner…for now…
It’s not my dream kitchen, but it’s what I have. Dreaming of what I can do to upgrade it (on a budget!) 💭

For the past 4 months, I saved every egg shell and banana peel we ate (2 people) by simply chucking them in a bag in the freezer. I managed to yield 1.5 lbs of egg shells and 5 lbs of banana peels. The egg shells will be blended to a fine, dusty powder and added to the soil in our greenhouse as an insect repellent. I'll also make liquid solutions with the egg powder and banana peels for a calcium/potassium boost🥚🍌.

Now THIS is what I call genius!!

Only a few more days until Halloween!
AKA officially kicks off Nov 1! I’m more of a then a so this cute little ‘Trick or Treat’ ghost is one of the few “Halloween” decorations that I have inside. (I have a few things on my front porch for the trick-or-treaters.) Which do you like decorating more for, Autumn or Halloween? Or both?

I love mixing in my faux pumpkin decor with real pumpkins. (That will get turned into yummy canned purée at the end of the season!) These sugar pumpkins were only $1.50 each (peep all of them in my fall decor reel I already shared) at Superstore so it’s an inexpensive, cute AND functional way to add in some seasonal decor this time of year.

Who else just wants to put up the Christmas tree after the first snowfall? 🙋🏻‍♀️
A few more days of

I love this little area over the sink for hanging different seasonal decor. I added the faux flowers to this woven basket wall decor. It’s a favourite piece that I decorate with every year. I popped the little fabric pumpkin “in” the basket and I just think it just takes it up a notch!

My daughter received this beautiful handmade quilt as a gift for her birthday this past weekend! I’m always amazed at the craftsmanship, creativity and time behind these beautiful creations. It’s something I would love to be able to create one day. I love that these blankets can be handed down and carry love and stories with them. What a treasure for my daughter to receive 🥰

Loving this little corner of my baking area in my kitchen! 🥰 Tidied it up and bit and removed a few items as it was feeling a bit cluttered. Loving the vibe now. It’s on my list to add some shelving or cupboards of some kind which will obviously help get some of the “things” off the countertops and help clear some of the visual clutter. Anyone else just trying to ‘make do’ as best as possible with their kitchen? 🙋🏻‍♀️ lol Just a reminder that your kitchen doesn’t have to look like the magazine-ready kitchens you see on IG.
