Been awhile since I have posted anything. Guess that means I have been busy 😉 either way that said I will try to give a good idea of what I have been busy with the past few months. 2001 sky Supreme 210v ! Came in had zero working gauges, and stereo hanging wires not connected. Not to mention look at that oxidization. (Eye twitch) lol. We replaced the entire gauge cluster. Gave the bezel a single layer of glass then cut new holes for new gauges. Wired it in from scratch and wired to the existing ecu harnes and engine harness. Installed a brand new full surf tab system. Now this baby is good to go. Did I mention it’s for sale !?!? New engine has 15 hours on it. Full interiors was also replaced at the end of last year. My customers asking price is 34 K. That makes this the cheapest v drive on the market today ! If you are r know anyone interested please send me a message and I will get you in touch with the owner.

Another complete install on a 2012 Axis. What I nice boat I have to say and the powder coated black tabs really make the difference !!

2020 moomba Helix. Had a unfortunate run in with a concrete block late this summer. Pretty much cut the season short unfortunately. The impact was hard enough that the shaft strut had bent far enough for the prop to hit the hull. Thankfully for my customer he was less then a few hundred feet from his boat lift where he got the boat raised up out of the water to inspect and find a big chunk of glass and gel missing from the bottom of the hull. The repair to the hull was done on site and the boat remained on its lift while I did this. Removed much more material first and inspected for further structural damage. Hull was ok. Ground a large oval around the damage and re filled with multipul layers of woven cloth and a resin / cabosil mix! About six layers to the patch to really bring back the strength. Once that cured it got one thick layer of gel and cabosil mix. Again after cure one more layer of gel coat. Cure a few days. Come back and sand then wet sand for hours and polish to blend it all to look like it never happened. The strut was placed under a 20 ton press and pressed back streight as possible. Then annealed it to bring its properties back. A new prop and a lake test before taking back to customer’s residence.

Been awhile. Summer has certainly been moving along. You know what they say ?!? Time flys when your having fun!! Well I have spent most of my time working , I did finally get around to fitting my very own set of custom surf tabs to my boat and better then that. I got to play with it !!

What if your prop had a slight bend but you couldn’t feel the vibration so you ran it anyway! I see on forums of folks asking the question almost every day if it’s ok to run a damaged prop. Or if there’s a allowable amount that is ok. The picture below is a pretty new prop. Brand new G23 Super Air Nautique. Prop got bent but was run anyway. See the bluing in the picture ? What if I told you that a propeller that’s cavitating and run at high speeds generates so much heat that if you could see the prop underwater while running you would see it glow red cause of all the heat the cavitation is creating. Look close at the prop blades and you can see what I mean. Or does this just sound like crazy talk to you ?;)

Full surf tab install on a 04 Malibu Wake Setter. Should throw a good wave now at the push of a button.

Haven’t posted in awhile so here’s something recent.

Some boats are just a honour and a absolute pleasure to be allowed to work on. Prude of ownership can say a lot without saying anything at all. Love this boat. First Malibu V ride using the wakesetter hull. The gel coat is just beautiful. Had a few scratches but that’s all taken care of and gave it that ceramic mirror polish for a protective finish. As a added bonus I plumbed the bow bag into the MLS system so the customer can now fill all ballast at the tip of his finger and to drain do just the same. Winterized her for the off-season and she is all ready to play with after her nap. Thanks Kev I appreciate the work and your boat not to mention I appreciate you too my friend. Cheers !!

Awhile ago I did this set of Volvo penta duo props. Was proud to be able to help get the campion back on the lake. Thank you Clive Gardner for the business and for being a all around great guy!!
