One of the key exercises in building and maintaining strength in your obliques and overall core is the side plank. Try 3 sets of 30 sec hold on each side 5 x week to achieve maximum results! 🙌

Staying committed to my physique while on vacation by making healthy choices and not overindulging!

I highly recommend swimming to my clients as a low-impact form of cardio which promotes joint and mobility health!

Why is “core strength” so important?
Core strength spares the spine from excessive load and transfers force from the lower to upper body (and vice versa). Having a strong, stable core helps us to prevent injuries, have lower back stability, helps with balance and allows us to perform at our best! 🙌

Biking is my favourite form of cardio!

Upper body strength is important to have because the upper body controls your ability to perform everyday activities such as reaching, pulling, pushing and lifting. Having a strong upper body improves your flexibility, mobility and range of motion!

Running a personal training business is a 7 days a week commitment to the lives of others and myself, but I’m up to the challenge!

Consistency and hard work will always pay off when you love what you do.

My motto is always “good vibes only”, and when you vibrate at a higher level in life, nothing will ever bring you down.

Happy Motivational Monday Folks!! Time for another week of the grind. To stay motivated towards my ideals when it comes to fitness and nutrition I like to set up SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time) goals. What are some of your SMART goals?

Day 3 since my 8:00 a surgery on Tuesday morning where I had the loose and lpain-inducing screw removed from my wrist at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton. This was my second of two wrist surgeries during covid and the last 6 months. The first was July 3, 2020 where the surgeon took a bone graft from my hip to fuse to my left scaphoid, whichwas a 6 week recovery. I chose to take less than 48 hours off of work and training clients this time and REFUSED the op**te pain meds prescribed for post surgery. I have chosen a little bit of Advil and some good old fashioned nutrition and sleep to help me mend.

One more wrist surgery to go!! I’m booked for February 2, 2021 to get the loose screw taken out of my wrist. I have not had one day off of being in pain since February of 2020 but it hasn’t stopped me from running my business and staying in shape. It’s good to push through the tough things in life and see how much you can do.
