Chelsea Boots.
This classic boot has seen an explosion of vegan options in recent years.
Since it first came onto the scene in the ‘60s, the Chelsea boot has been a timeless wardrobe staple.
This minimalist style of boot is popular due to its versatility, and its function – they’re some of the easiest boots to get on and off.
Traditionally made out of leather or suede, vegans and vegetarians have often been left out of the party. Thankfully, that’s no longer the case.
In our latest post, we take a look at 35 Vegan Chelsea Boots for Women.

They manage to do so many good things at once - let’s take a look:
1. Use high-quality, vegan materials (many recycled and natural materials) 🌱 ♻️
2. Employ fair labour (shoes made in Portugal) 🇵🇹
3. Offer their shoes at an affordable price point (roughly $100 CAD for many of their sneakers) 👏
A combination normally reserved for shoes that sell at a much higher price point. 👏

People need to be aware of this 🤯
Thanks to GUNAS New York for letting people know about the common misconception that leather is simply a bi-product of the meat industry.
Even if it were just a bi-product, selling it to the fashion industry would help support said meat industry, so leather shouldn’t be purchased either way if we want to keep animals, the environment and the people that work in and live near the meat industry, safe.
SIDE NOTE: Many plant-based innovative leathers are however, bi-products of the food industry, like AppleSkin™️- which is made with waste recovered from the fruit juice industry 🍎
And Piñatex - which is made from waste pineapple leaf fibre 🍍

DOGO communicates this sad truth perfectly.
Producing anything takes resources (materials, labour, travel, fuel, etc.), and the cheaper and faster we can get ‘things’, generally the worse off we’ll be in the end.
But there are ways to slow fashion down, and minimize its harmful impacts on the planet.

Avrelife has summed it up perfectly, don’t you agree?
Perfect isn’t yet possible. Anything that needs to be created has a cost, uses resources.
Perfectionism can be impeding, when the real purpose is improvement on what came before, and on what has yet to be.
