If you love having your curtains open on a hot, sunny day, just remember the impact it can have on your floors. You could notice your floors starting to fade, for instance, in spaces with more exposure to direct sunlight

2️⃣ Using the wrong cleaning products 🧼
Every floor has a recommended product for cleaning for a reason. Stick with those recommendations. The wrong product could discolour or damage your floors.

3️⃣ Furniture and moving it improperly 🛋️
Scratches, imprints and even gouges or chips can occur from furniture, especially when it is moved improperly. Felt pads, although useful, may not protect against all damages and can fall off or become worn down.

2️⃣ Your subfloor. The type of subflooring you have — whether it’s concrete or wood, for instance — plays a part in the type of flooring you should choose. Your choice should work alongside your subfloor to ensure everything lasts as long as possible.

Although there was a time where carpet was installed in bathrooms, we now know that it leads to bacteria and mould growth.
