He lived to make others happy with the help of his smile. I remember doing comedy with him in Toronto when I had still only met him a few times in Edmonton prior and he was such a sweet host taking me around the city, introducing me to everyone and finding me spots opening for him. Since then I got to know him quite a bit more and built nothing but love for each other. What a legend. Love you man.

If you didn't already know, this year's Grindstone Comedy Festival lineup is more stacked than ever before and it is gonna be a blast!

We're doing a special fundraiser show for our friend and festival co-founder Kathleen Mcgee in her fight against cancer, featuring support from the kingpins of Canadian Comedy - Bruce Mcculloch and Debra Digiovanni.

Chris Wilson of This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and Clare McConnell of Murdoch Mysteries are both performing as special guests on The 11O'Clock Number!

Dave Merhej (Netflix Comedians of the World, Canada) and Bonnie McFarlane (Tonight Show, Late Show, Late Late Show) headline outdoor stage shows

One of the most successful Edmonton comedians to leave us, Clare Belford is back for a big headlining performance in The Grindstone and her hilarious partner Dan Hendricken has his own headlining spot to open the festival too!

Courtney Gilmour is Juno Nominated, performed on Canada's Got Talent, and is definitely the funniest congenital Triple amputee I've ever seen, but you can be the judge of that.

There's literally so much good stuff you better book off July 3-7 abd catch as much as you can!!!

And every week Wednesday night leading up to the fest including Tonight is Grindstones Stand-Up Stand-Off Competition and King of The Hill Improv Competition to pick the funniest people in the city!!

Vancouver! Im back in full disco mode tonight! Come party at Fox Cabaret with me.

Disco in the Park(ing Lot) is here! Of course if you know me this is my most wonderful time of the year. Getting to hang out with legends of dance music (like the ones pictured in the last 4 slides from last summer) is just unreal.

We're taking it a little easy this year with just a one day festival (versus 3 days last year) but we're still gonna have a blast!!

Waajeed I've had the chance to catch twice and he is one of my absolute favourite DJs. True musicianship put into sets that mix soul, bass, disco, hip-hop and house into a perfect fresh sound.

Natasha Kitty Katt we've been watching for a long time long time, she's like the Morticia Adam's of Disco. Leaning into Italo production styles with releases on Midnight Riot, Glitterbox, Nervous music and more, this will be her first time in Alberta!

Pineo & Loeb you probably know if you've been to west coast Canadian music festivals in the last few years. They almost sold out The Grindstone last time we worked with them for one of the most jumping parties SWEAT has ever had. Their sing-alongable sets are undeniably loveable.

Plus I'm very excited to be showcasing Electric Religious, an epic new funky dance band from Edmonton/Toronto metis artist Brandon Baker

And of course the legendary Neighbour is back, Disco in the Park's very first headliner and our group The Fever is performing on The Grindstone stage. I'm in Vancouver this weekend preparing some new tracks! And we'll be performing May 11 for Vancouver at Neighbours 40th birthday extravaganza at The Beaumont!
