We are starting to learn that a 1 or 2 month stay at any recovery centre doesn’t get great results. The only way we will ever break the cycle is by longer traditional treatment programs and fewer medications . And for life aftercare programs, then that individual has to learn a skill to support themselves and find suitable housing so they can take care of themselves and their families.
