YouTube being the second-most used platform online decided to keep the ‘dislike’ button but remove the count earlier this month.

Is this decision most helpful for the consumer or the producer and whose position should me paramount?

Reports have suggested that it will actually hurt the producers they claim they are trying to protect.

‘How To’ and ‘Crafts’ videos, a category that has seen the highest ratio of dislikes and fittingly so in my estimation are estimated to suffer the most from this move.

The dislikes provides creators an opportunity to work on improving their content or to at least have some sort of negative feedback to help in their overall development which will allow the end user to benefit from better content in the long run.

In the context of a platform owner, is it better to make a decision based on a few ‘vendors’ aka creators on the platform or to make decisions based on what is ultimately best for the consumer or end user?

In most cases, a strong offer will succeed in spite of weak ad copy,

but strong ad copy won’t overcome a weak offer.

The best laser-targeted traffic in the world can’t save an ordinary “good enough'' offer from being a complete flop.

The aim of a compelling offer is to create a response from your prospects like,
'How can they possibly offer this?’
Or, ‘How can they guarantee so much?’ Or “Are these people out of their minds?’

It must look outrageous. In the words of Claude Hopkins, “Make your offer so great that only a lunatic would refuse to buy".

A well-structured Sales Funnel is the single most POWERFUL strategy for converting any traffic source into a "Most likely to buy" audience.

You create a killer ad that speaks to the miseries being faced by your target audience.

That ad becomes the hook attached to your line when you put it out into a solid traffic source.

You reel in cold prospects and you now have a grand opportunity to warm them up by offering them some value for free.

You collect their contact details in exchange for something they value and now you can build a relationship to secure future sales. Remember now: we are in it for the long haul.

After the prospect accepts your Free gift (Coupon, report or whatever your research shows is relevant) they are redirected to a Landing Page.

Your landing page is an opportunity for an upsell or down-sell or just a way to show the prospect that they can get so much more value from your relationship.

You now have their contact information so you can continue with building the relationship to create trust and lower skepticism.

You position yourself as a valuable resource and they realize that you can help them to eliminate their miseries through your product or service.

A small percentage will be ready to buy: these are what we call hot prospects. Direct hot prospects to your Sales Mechanism and this is where you close the deal.
