Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day. It takes place each year on June 21st, and is dedicated to celebrating the rich diversity, history, resilience, and culture of Indigenous Peoples.

Over 1.8 million people in Canada identify as First Nations, Inuit, and Métis, each with unique traditions, cultures, and languages spoken.

We would like to honor and acknowledge the traditional territory of Treaty 8 to which we live and use. We show reverence and respect to the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries. May we continue to commit to advancing reconciliation, building trust and strengthening preservation of culture.

These F350 diesels have begun their voyage to Prince George for a wonderful client of mine. I always feel a huge sense of pride when I am able to help with environmental projects. Orange Shirt Day is a day to recognize the Indian Residential School system that many Indigenous children were forced to attend. The fallout of Residential Schools is still felt and experienced generationally by Survivors and Intergenerational Survivors. Today, we wear our shirts in support and in memory of the lost children, and those who still feel it's impact today.
