This is a fantastic article about the benefits and uses of PEMF.
I absolutely love Mad Barn products and think it’s super cool that they’re spreading the word about PEMF! 💙💙💙

PEMF (Pulsed Electro Magnetic Therapy) in Horses: Benefits, Uses & Research | Mad Barn Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy is a treatment modality for horses where a machine produces pulses of electromagnetic fields directed at a specific part of the body. Who can’t use a couple helping hounds from time to time.. 😂🐶💗

There is no better feeling than knowing I helped provide relief to one of my equine clients, and quite frankly I think his mom too.

Rich had been battling an abscess for about a week.

His mom and leasers were doing everything right, soaking his foot, Theraplating, packing and wrapping it twice daily, trying everything to get that sucker out. We all know how painful they can be.

So they enlisted my help as PEMF is proven to help draw out the abscess and provide pain relief, among other things. We did a half hour session on Tuesday without successfully getting it out, but likely helping it make its way.

Friday we did a second session and I got to witness the power of PEMF!

Check out the videos taken 18mins apart.
I always send a little video to my clients when they’re not able to make it out and I’m doing the session myself. So first video is just the check in to show mom he was being a good boy, you can see the abscess has not surfaced yet.

Second video is 18mins later, we were probably about 20mins into the session, first 15mins we treated the bottom of the foot, he made it clear he needed a break so I put it down and kept going with PEMF over the hoof. I gave him probably about 5 mins and when I picked it back up to work on the bottom again, there it was!! We had successfully drawn it out!!

It takes a village, and I absolutely love being a part of that village to all my clients. 💙💙💙💙

What a fantastic day spent at Pine Ridge Ranch treating the horses with the nebulizer/PEMF combo I’ve been having so much success with.

Most tolerated both, some being the first time with the nebulizer on needed to take it a little slower.

With the horrible air quality our equine partners have had to deal with, it’s nice to know we can offer a little relief and help them breath easier. 😮‍💨

T’is the season for the dreaded annual allergy flare ups!

The pollen is thick in the air, and some of our equine friends are suffering.

I’m extremely proud to report that with the help of PEMF and nebulizer, two different clients who usually have to use antihistamines and even Dex have been able to manage this spring without a single dose of either.

We have been using the large loops to PEMF their lungs while they get nebulized. It’s been a very successful combination that only requires a 15-20min PEMF session!

If you think your equine friend could use some help to breath easier this time of year, don’t hesitate to reach out!

What a fabulous afternoon spent at White Spruce Trails.
These Amazing athletes were treated to some PEMF in preparation for the Spring thaw!
They enjoyed a Full body sessions as well as having their hocks stifles and knees treated at the same time.
I Love being able to give my clients the option of two attachments for twice the PEMF goodness in each session 💕
Best of luck to Chloe & Fame, Eran & Granny, Angèle & Smartie and everyone running this weekend!
We’ll be rooting for you guys, can’t wait to see the videos of you guys burnin 🔥 and turnin!

Great job feeling better Az!
I am so enjoying having him home, he’s getting PEMF more consistently and we’re loving all the amenities allowing us to start building up some muscles! 💪🏼

Huge life change for Mr Aztec!
He made the move home to Pine Ridge Ranch, our little slice of paradise.

This intro goes down in my books as the absolute most uneventful introduction of life. They didn’t canter even a stride, and only trotted like 4 before Aztec shut that down.
He’s definitely made himself at home, and I can’t wait to continue our little adventure here.

A huge thank you goes out to Melanie Turenne for taking such great care of Aztec for me while I was waiting on a spot at home.
If anyone is looking for a fabulous little place to board their horses in hanmer, contact Mel, she’s got a spot now. 🙂

What’s new with Aztec lately??
He got a haircut, and went for a trail ride!
First time putting another rider on him, and it was definitely a little bit of a challenging trail ride due to footing. But Mr Az was an absolute superstar 💫
Thank you Tianna and Melanie for a fun ride!

Gosh. I couldn’t ask for a sweeter dude. While were waiting to get a pedicure from Villeneuve Trimming & Shoeing Azzy and Colton had a little cuddle 🥰

Is there any better way to end the year then with a trail ride!?!
Not only did Aztec make my day by so enthusiastically greeting me, he was an absolute super star on the trail! 💙
Thank you so much for joining us Mel and Jr, it was just what we needed 🥰💙🥰

Last chance to enter!! Contest closes today!! I will announce a winner later tonight!

4:59pm on the way out on our trail ride vs 5:12pm on our way back home.

I despise daylight savings and I hate how fast the sun goes down this time of year. ☹️

But on a more positive note, Aztec is proving to be a pretty solid trail pony. 🙂💛🐴

This exactly! 🙌🏻
It’s easier to prevent then repair, so make sure to keep up with your equine maintenance.

Maintenance makes everything last longer and perform better!

Trucks … people … horses ….

By maintaining your horse you are ensuring a longer career.

High powered devices generate results at an accelerated rate and analog machines can be finely tuned for optimum output on each horse. Working at a cellular level PEMF helps to increase circulation, blood oxygenation, and helps the body recover naturally, while reducing inflammation and relieving pain.
By working on a mitochondrial level PEMF uses electromagnetic pulses to stimulate the cell. This charges the cell which then promotes cellular regeneration. By relaxing between pulses the cell walls become more permeable allowing better oxygenation and swifter removal of toxins. The pulsating electromagnetic charge penetrates through tissues to target joints and large muscle groups. This pe*******on can go up to 18 inches deep!

With this process, some of the benefits of PEMF are:

Increase circulation
Reduce fatigue
Improve recovery time
Accelerate healing
Balance the immune system
Repair traumatized or damaged tissue
Reduce inflammation and pain
Relieve symptoms of arthritis, heaves and other long-term ailments

HUGE Benefit - making supplements and medications more bioavailable in the body!! Can you imagine actually maximizing those results?!? More bang for your buck!

Aztec and I did a little something on Saturday, we had our first ride!

He’s been moving so well, I decided to hop on and see what he was like under saddle.

Unfortunately, he presented quite ring sour, in my opinion.
Extremely slow moving. Super grumpy being asked to move forward, ears back, and just overall seemed unhappy to be in there.

So we did a few laps, opened the gate and decided to hit the trails.

Well I saw an entire different Aztec when we did that!

He was SO HAPPY! Ears forward the entire time and so much more responsive.

It saddens me that he’s obviously had enough bad experiences in rings that he feels this way, but I’m also confident that we’ll be able to work through it.

For the time being we will just be hitting the trails and doing carrot stretches in the ring 🥕 working towards making the ring a fun place to be. 🙂

Check out the difference in his demeanour from the ring to the trail! 📸

It’s been one month with this super sweet guy!! 🥳

For the first time today, Azzy showed sings that he was enjoying his PEMF and even gave us a couple of half yawns. Nothing too expressive of course, Mr Stoic over here. Lol

After his session we took him out for a spin in the ring and I could not have been happier with his progress!! 💗💗💗

Great job healing, buddy! ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

for the win!

Grain bags ✅
Tail braided ✅
And most importantly,
PEMF ✅

What a good boy 🥰

Azzy is all set for the rain tomorrow ☔️ 🌧

Who doesn’t love an Azzy update!?

He is definitely moving better!!
Even though I’ve been terribly busy and he’s only gotten 3 PEMF treatments to date, I’m very happy with his progress.

But, as I love to say, team work makes the dream work!
And along with a good trim and PEMF, I’ve also come up with a nutrition plan for him.

He was not being grained whatsoever at his previous home because he’s plump.
That’s something I totally understand, most people believe that since they’re chunky they don’t need food.

But in many cases, like Azzy’s, graining him is not to put on weight, but to make sure that he’s receiving all the proper vitamins and minerals.

In case anyone is interested, Azzy receives 3/4cup of KER All Phase, one scoop of Mad barn Omneity, one scoop of Mad barn probiotics and one pump of Smart Earth Camelina oil, once daily.
