Chronological activities:

1. Background #1: We had our restaurant at Sunnyside Mall Bedford and through of extending that to Quinpool, so we got into a lease with Partner's Global in Aug 2021; build the whole restaurant from scratch (i.e. everyone knows - this place was locked from last couple of years before us); we have spent good hard working 6 months to build this place and finally able to open in Jan 2021.

2. Background #2: In Apr-May 2021, NATCO purchased this property and both (left and right) of my adjacent properties. They built Quinn's Arm, just left to us, as they (with some dotted lines i.e. same people running this and Quinn's Brewery) already had a couple of other similar brands running in the city (names something similar to Brown Hound). They tried to persuade us to transform this also to that kind of place and start earning more money, which we have denied and finally they locked us and tried closure of our business in Jun 2021.

3. Background #3: We have invested so much into this for our 5+5 years of lease, thinking of a good 10 years. fought this battle back and won finally in Oct-Nov 2022. Even though we won it legally, as they gave us compensation of 10k, which has gone directly to our lawyers to reduce their bills from 50k to 40k, still that has not changed their attitude.

4. Current proceedings: Jan Month: Kimberly Crane (Daughter of Robert Crane), currently Director of NATCO, had a meeting with The Feasts and confirmed the rent can be paid in two parts, one part in the first 2 weeks and second part in the last 2 weeks of the month.

5. Feb Month: we got their Lawyer's Notice to pay the rent by 3:30 pm on 9th Feb or leave the premises; Their Lawyer's Bailiff reached restaurant with Robert Crane at 3: 30 pm and asked our staff to leave the premises; We got this info on phone from our staff and I asked them to stay in and we have reached there with in 5 minutes. We offered them to pay the rent then and there, Bailiff looked at Robert Crane and he denied accepting the payment and forced us to leave the premises. We denied and asked what's next if we do not do it and the bailiff said, he would come tomorrow morning with police to get this premises vacated. So we did not have another option and asked them to come with the police. Which never happened. so we continued our business as usual and paid the half rent as per the commitment. However due to low movement in Feb month, we were not able to make the other half of the rent. So this balance of 3k has given them the option to crush us.

6. Mar Month: as March 1st was our scheduled day off and 2nd March was stormy, so the restaurant was supposed to be open on March 3rd, but at 7-8 am, we got to know from their lawyer that the premises had been secured by Landlord. We saw on CCTV that Robert Crane was instructing his workers to block both of our entrances.

7. We tried a lot of options, requesting Robert Crane to:

7.a. Let us continue there, we would pay the balance in a couple of weeks.

7.b. Get us a new Lease (thinking in case - he wants his space not blocked for our lease of 10 years).

7.c. Do some partnership, so that they can have more space for their guests in Quinn's arm to utilize our dining hall, or any other conceptual agreement.

7.d. Let's utilize the leased security deposit of 13k, and refund our money - so that we can take away our equipment + inventory etc.

7.e. Offer us some lump sum money for our leasehold upgrades, like electricity, gas, plumbing, lift, flooring etc. (as these things have increased his property value).

7.f. Apart from leasehold upgrades, in case they like to have the rest of our equipment, they can give us some lump sum amount and have all of these as is.

8. He was not bothered by anything and offered us just 4k for everything we had there; now their lawyer has sent some other notice and is threatening us for court proceedings - if we do not pay their asked amount. We believe in God and are ready for it; would not make the mistake of hiring a professional lawyer (as we don't have money to pay their fees), and will fight on our own, if we need to.

9. It is not a surprise why Canada is not in the top 10 happiest countries in the world, as we got people like him to take advantage of the system and our politicians have made this system for people like him.

Everyone knows, who is right and who is wrong, that's how they have to change their lawyers couple of times and by looking at this post with email thread, the current lawyer may also like to save his own self.

10. I have no hard feelings for Robert Crane, as every society had good and bad elements; our heart is broken with the system in which Robert can crush hard working people to multiply his wealth from owning the whole apartment building at 200 Willett St to Quinpool.
