It was such a pleasure and honour to have been part of and Wedding Day. It’s such a different experience when you’re friends with the bride and groom, a weekend that will always be cherished. ♥️

As much as I would love to take credit for this gorgeous aesthetic, this was all done by the beautiful bride herself. Her vision for her day was as clear and precise as the radiant rock on her left hand.

This is the ceremony space that we created and set up. I think it turned out perfectly. For the purpose of photos, we had the table and chair close by, but moved further away for the actual ceremony.

is the most amazing Wedding Venue, with incredible hosts, and are sure to go above and beyond for your perfect day!

Here are some Wedding Day tips that you might not have thought of:

1. Hydrate! This includes leading up to your wedding which will keep your energy levels up, and your hair and skin glowing. ✨. It’s also important to drink lots of water and Gatorade before you start getting into the bubbly!

2. Ask your Day-Of Coordinator (or a trusted friend) to record the speeches so that you can always have them to look back on!

3. Asking your caterer to set aside an extra plate (or two) of food when they’re packing up, is always a great idea. When the Wedding is done and you and your new spouse are stumbling back to your room/cabin/suite there’s nothing better then some tasty leftovers. 🍛.

4. Soak it all in. Sometimes it’s easier said than done, but do your best to try and be as present as possible! Try not to stress about “what comes next” with your order of events, just embrace the now!

I say this from experience, your Wedding Day goes by in a
b l u r r r r r 🌫

It’s easy to get caught up in the movement of the day, the timeline of the day, the “what comes next.”

But my greatest piece of advice is to just take moments throughout your day to completely stop. Use all of your senses: Physically smell the flowers at your wedding, your catered food, the great outdoors of your picturesque venue, your yummy dessert table; Look around at all your guests, the people who love and support you, and appreciate them; Listen to the conversations, the laughter, their cheersing; Taste a sip of champagne, a few nibbles of cake, your partners lips; Touch your new husband/wife ✨🖤

Enjoy your day, this only happens once.

My husband and I will be celebrating 5 years married this September, and I can honestly say that I still wake up feeling so grateful, so lucky, so fortunate. ✨

How cute are these little centrepieces!? Sometimes less really can be more, and these are oh so cute for Spring 🌷

I know a few brides who have been stressing about flowers… If their bouquets are big enough, if the centrepieces look okay, etc. but at the end of the day, your guests are attending your wedding to celebrate you and your partner. I know it’s easier said than done, but try not to stress about trying to please everyone. Pick the flowers that make you happy and that you want.

People leave a wedding with comments like “The Bride looked so pretty,” “They make such a beautiful couple,” “I could feel their love from across the room,” etc. They don’t leave a wedding saying, “The centrepieces should have been different.”

Sometimes your soulmate can be the person you never expected. The person who was right in front of your face but you never gave them a second thought because you’re just friends. I know, because this happened with me. He was actually my neighbour, turned hockey friend, turned best friend, turned boyfriend.

Of course this doesn’t happen to everyone, but I will say, if your marriage is built on a true deep and meaningful friendship, then the foundation is pretty darn secure. 🔐

With any deep friendship (think of your closest girl friends, your ride or die), you’d do anything for them! Always have their back right? Never want to see them hurt? Protect them from any mean boys that come in their path? Naturally, core fundamentals of love pour out of authentic friendships, including respect, trust, loyalty. I remember feeling this way about my husband in our early dating days. I remember feeling and knowing that he was the one for an abundance of reasons, but this idea really rung true for me.

I remember thinking that this was the person I wanted to make memories with, to experience new things with, to travel to new places with, to start a family with. I could not picture a day in my future without him.

We have been married for almost 5 years now, and I can honestly say that thought is still present. I don’t ever want to live a day where he is not my partner, my husband, my best friend. Yes there are days where we get in disagreements, and he knows every little button to press to practically make my head explode, but we always work through it and come out of it with new communication skills and are stronger.

There’s not a day that I wouldn’t choose him.

This was such an iconic moment from the movie ‘A Walk To Remember.’

I remember watching this movie when I was 14 or 15, and I remember seeing the way Landon fell in love with Jamie, and how he would do anything for her. How her dreams became his dreams. I remember wanting to find a love like that. And now 14 years later, I’m living that kind of love✨.

When you and your groom are finally married, and you’re doing your photos with your bridal party and then your solos as a couple, it can get a little tiring, with all the walking to new scenery, and posing, and kissing, and laughing. It’s fun! Don’t get me wrong, but not gonna lie, I do wish I had a little pick me up during this session. (Soda, water, protein bar, champagne, beer, Gatorade, etc.).

Your wedding day can be stressful, but it doesn’t need to be. Your wedding day should be filled with love, happiness, excitement and even more love. You shouldn’t be worried about your guests, or music, or appetizers, or dessert being served.

The perfect dress. (Almost) just as important as the perfect man 😉.

I remember going to try on dresses and I had a certain look in mind: something simple, possibly satin, and hugged all the right places. When I got to the boutique I tried that style on and it just did not suit me. The last dress that I tried on was something that I would have never considered. But I fell in love, and that’s the one I wore on my special day.
