Hey everyone, it’s been awhile!

Previewing a handful of crowns I’ve made 🥰 I finally pushed myself to post these on Facebook in some buy/ sell groups and was greeted with such a positive response. It has given me the confidence boost and push of enthusiasm I needed to start this little side hustle back up again. Covid really threw me off my game and made me so discouraged that I put this dream on the back burner. It’s time to step it up and push a little harder again. Cheers to more floral adventures to come!

I may also rebrand or branch out to include a more general creative bracket since I will be dabbling in a few other crafty endeavours and will begin marketing my elf on a shelf activity kits more next holiday season 🥰 stay tuned for lots of big things coming!

Hi everyone and welcome to Dahlia’s Forever Florals! I am a new and budding business working specifically in silk flower design and original acrylic on canvas paintings. I will be posting ready made products and taking commissions for all of my services to create beautiful designs unique to you and specific to your personal taste! I am so beyond excited to embark on this new business endeavour with you all.

First off, for those of you who may not know me, I want to introduce myself and share a little about my story! My name is Lydia Dale Banks and I am an expecting momma-to-be with our little one arriving early December. I have always been super passionate about flowers, gardening and the arts- spending many years in art classes, painting and crafting. Growing up, my dream was to become a Florist and open my very own flower shop.

However, as life happens and we experience many changes in our plans, I decided to pursue my backup career as a massage therapist. I absolutely loved my time working as an RMT for almost 3 years until suddenly, as life’s crazy turns will have it yet again, Covid-19 hit this past March and our profession was forced to close due to being a non-essential service. I expected this to be short lived and life to resume as normal and my career to return as before, unfortunately, as you all know, this has not been the case. It seems we are entering quite a few long-term changes that has made it too difficult financially for me to re-open my massage therapy practice at this time.

The good news though, during this crazy time, my spouse and I discovered we were pregnant! It has made this stressful time very exciting, although it has brought all new challenges. On top of financial reasons, my health has also prevented me from being able to return to work as an RMT, and with this realization, I began to spend my time brainstorming what I could do instead. I was working at doing some painting one day when it hit me- it was time for me to pursue my dream career in art and floral design! With that, I began doing some self studies in floral design and silk flower crafting and began writing up a business plan for this new endeavour. I hope to branch out into many new products as time goes on and am very excited for the next steps to come.
