Meaningful ceremonies for modern couples in the Kawarthas, Muskokas, and PEC
Hike in to your off-grid cabin deep in the Haliburton Forest for your elopement? I do. Actually, I love to do. That I can be with you in such a perfectly intimate setting is one of my favourite things. If you’re thinking about eloping in the woods - I’ve got you!
T+B got married today, and I have to say that when you find your true love a little later in life, the ceremony hits different. The words carry a lot more gravitas because you’ve both seen enough of life to know just how much it all means. It was an absolute joy to be there for them, and I wish them all the happiness in the world. Xo
Winter elopements at the cottage feel exactly the way you imagine. Charming, cosy and romantic. Highly recommend.
The thing about your ceremony is that it’s a moment in time, a shared experience, and an incredible memory. It should be perfect. It should match the energy of your relationship and honestly, that’s what I want for you. Look at these two - absolutely besotted and such a joyful day! Thank you and for trusting me, and thank you for your talent behind a 📸
HAPPY GALENTINE’S DAY! Today we celebrate the wonderful women in our lives, the ones we share our biggest moments with - just like this one on M+E’s big day. Where would we be without these shining lights in our lives? Go tell your friends you love them. 📸 📍
Just over here reminiscing about this winter elopement in Algonquin Park. If hiking through the snow to a stunning lookout point so you can marry the love of your life sounds like the dream wedding, you’re not wrong.
Here comes Grandma with the rings; and honestly, isn’t that the greatest? 🥹 thank you for the fabulous 📸 and for trusting me. Xo
What this is NOT a picture of: this is not me in concert with a group of stunning back up singers (if only!).
What this IS a picture of: me closing the ceremony off to the side and pronouncing A+J married (yay - they’re about to kiss!). I do this so that when takes their kiss photo I’m not standing in the middle of it. It’s the little things in a ceremony that add up to make it perfect. xoxo
Honestly, you don’t even need to know what we were laughing at to feel this ceremony. It was so full of laughter (and tears!) and it was pure joy. I tip my (imaginary) hat to for always capturing the feelings. Being able to relive this moment makes me so happy! Thank you xo
I spend a lot of time driving to weddings. Consequently, I eat in the car quite often and have some fave sandwich stops. I thought I’d share them with you over the next little bit, should you ever find yourself on the road in Ontario. I’m starting with this fave of mine: Apple and Brie on focaccia from - it’s crunchy, creamy and delicious, with a lovely chutney on fresh bread. Get a brownie for later, you won’t regret it.
How can my heart not burst when I read such warm words? The relaxed intimacy of eloping is something I would bottle if I could. It’s an experience for the two of you, focused solely on your relationship. That I get to be there is such a privilege, and on this day, my son was there, too - keeping the fire going! I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the beauty behind the camera who brings her warmth and talents to every occasion. These are the days! ♥️ thank you .sheeran and
Don’t mind me, just over here remembering summer nights, and this gorgeous lakeside ceremony for A+J. So grateful for wonderful photographers like to bring me right back to these moments. Thank you for trusting me xo
This is the energy I’m looking for from 2024…loved-up laughter! R+Z had an intimate ceremony and wonderful celebration to follow and it was joyful to be there for them. Thank you for trusting me and for the photos from - they’re amazing!
NYE wedding was on my wish list, and here we are! Celebrating R+L with an intimate ceremony under a gorgeous willow tree. The perfect day to reflect on how they got to this moment, and all that they have to look forward to. Happy New Year!
I am so deeply grateful for the lovely messages and reviews I receive from couples, I can’t even tell you how much it means to me. I don’t share them often because honestly, it feels a little too boastful. However, after five years of doing this work that I love so much, I am committed to sharing messages like this one, and highlighting the experience my couples have. Maybe you’ve just got engaged, and you have no idea what to expect from an officiant - or what that experience looks like. Ultimately, I want you to have your perfect day. Any part I can play in making it so makes me happier than you can imagine. Thank you .doma for trusting me, and for your warm words. Xo
Today, S+M were married surrounded by their closest friends and family, who had all travelled from Paris for a Canadian winter holiday/wedding celebration up north together. While they might not have had the snowy winter scene they had originally imagined, it was a beautiful day just the same. It was wonderful to be there, and to spend time with their guests. My public school French held up surprisingly well! I can’t wait to see the photos from 📸 xo
Every relationship has an origin story, this is ours:
22 years ago today I was having a drink with a friend in on Ashton Lane, in Glasgow; when .murgatroyd walked in the door. I knew immediately that he would be in my life, and I wasn’t wrong. Love at first sight is a thing! I love to share couples’ stories during ceremonies. The world LOVES a good love story! Xo
Winter weddings are a mood, and that mood is intimate, cosy, and romantic. If winter is your season, I’m here for you.
I got to marry and today. If you had told my 26 year old self that this day would come, well, let’s just say she could have never, ever, imagined it. I am grateful to have them in my life, and truly grateful that they trusted me to be there for them. I would be remiss if I did not also draw your attention to THAT DRESS. It was perfection. The pearls jangled. Honestly, perfection.
The joy that comes from eloping on an island in the middle of a lake, in the middle of Algonquin Park. It was the perfect day for S+B, from the moment we launched the canoes, to their first dance at sunset after a 10k hike. It was exactly the day that had imagined, and it was wonderful to share it with them. Xo thank you to for capturing such incredible moments.
Tuxedo for your elopement? Yes please. These two had an emotional and elegant elopement in Huntsville. What a vibe. And look! 👀 There’s in the background capturing all the perfect moments.
Just had the loveliest afternoon with these two newlyweds and their family. But honestly, that tree stole the show! I have never met a family with more Christmas spirit - today felt like the beautiful ending to a Hallmark movie and I am so grateful to have been part of it. Xo
These two!! This ceremony was a joy, and was infused with wonderful rituals including taking a shot! xoxo
The groom is a local DJ, and we had worked a few weddings together when he said, “If we get married, I want you to marry us.” And I said, “Of course. It would be a privilege.” We continued to chat, and I explained how much I loved being surrounded by nature for ceremonies. The way they hold space is magical. He went on to say, “Our family has property with woods. We could get married there!”… and then this happened. Look at the light breaking through the trees (as captured by .photography so beautifully) and you can see what I mean by magic. Can’t you just feel this?
There’s singing in the rain, and there’s signing in the rain - to be clear - I enjoy both. Weather will never get in the way for your ceremony if you don’t let it. Look how happy K+E are! The joy of the day far outweighs any influence weather can have. If you want an outdoor ceremony, I’ll be there! 📸
I had the SWEETEST elopement in Bancroft today, made even sweeter with Harry joining me as a witness…am officially a family business - hahaha! Can’t wait to see the gorgeous photos from
