The 2024 building season is off to a great start. We have teamed up with EFC Developments Ltd. to install the wrought iron fencing and privacy walls for The Peaks development in Kelowna. This has been an amazing project to work on so far and we are looking forward to wrapping it up in the next couple months.

While winter may be here, it is never too late to start thinking about your next project.

Here are a few helpful things to keep in mind while you think about your next project and when you want to start it:

1. Time to get permits approved. This varies differently in every jurisdiction. It can be as quick as 8 weeks to months to get approved. Don't be caught waiting; start soon so you will be ready to enjoy your new project.

2. Giving your builder time to properly source materials. The less heads up you give a builder, the harder it may be to find the material for your project.

3. Just because it is winter, doesn't mean that it is too late to start getting quotes for your spring projects. We, at Escape Outdoors Contracting, are more than happy to help you with this process.

Starting out as a Carpenters Helper and advancing to a Senior Project Manager has given Tyler the knowledge to successfully execute any project given to him in a safe and affordable manner. From residential projects to large industrial projects, he brings over 12 years of construction experience to the job site with a core focus on safety and customer satisfaction. Tyler, along with his wife Melisa and daughter Rheya have called the Okanagan home for the past 8 years. On his days off, Tyler enjoys many outdoor activities from prospecting for gold and gemstones in the mountains to those early morning fishing trips.

A client called and was needing a 75' long section of fencing replaced so she could let her dog out safely. In a couple days we had the old fence removed and a new one installed that will last for years to come!

Extended and reinforced an existing deck this past weekend out on the beautiful Sunshine Coast this past weekend! What an amazing view!
