I'm always looking for lightness and softness and willingness in my horses - to do less and expect more: for them to recognize life in the line and the smallest movements from me to direct them. We've just scratched the surface but I'm excited to figure it out with my 4-year-old.

Monty the Mustang 5 week update. I know it doesn't look like much, but working with a wildly takes time and patience. Slow, slow, slow has been our SLOgan! Monty tries to keep me in his left eye and is bracy turning to the right. We have a lot of work to do on changing eyes and softening through his whole body, but I'm very pleased that he has given his first trot steps.
