As another session ends, I reflect on how grateful I am to give kids & teens the tools they need to feel confident to cook and bake at home. 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

Each session, the kids get to take home the recipes we make as well as the food 😋, they are provided with a reusable container. I provide clean aprons and tools to use in each class. I try to use fresh in season, and local food where I can.

In our Teen class tonight we learned how to separate eggs and made a delicious strawberry cake with in season strawberry puree 🍓 🎂

I love receiving surprises from my participants 🌈🙏

Hello, it's time for a reintroduction, my name is Kala and I am having such a great time teaching kids and teens how to cook, bake and have fun in the kitchen. Cooking with real whole foods.

This week I'm finishing up a month of amazing fun classes, 18 more kids who have made friendships, cooked as part of a community, and learned something new all while having fun.

I decided after 20 years as a Law Clerk I needed a change. In December 2019, I graduated from the Academy of Culinary Nutrition as a Culinary Nutrition Expert.

My goal was to bring back the love of cooking at home.

Teaching the basics, the science, and the nutrition. Getting kids involved in the Kitchen again. I am a mom of 3 boys and family time is important.

In April 2023, I created and started my first Empowering Kitchen class and in over a year have taught over 200 kids in Ripley and Kincardine.

I am blown away by the amazing support. Thank you 😊

So much fun with my Level 2's.. tonight was grilled cheese and soup. Class isn't just about cooking, it's about community and everyone working together to create a beautiful meal.

Most kids start class as strangers and leave as friends. 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳❤️

Pizza Making with the Littles!! 👩‍👧🍕

Our littles enjoyed a group night making pizza with Stuckless Healing Co. Owner Kayla at the Kincardine United Church.

Littles got to learn about the process of making pizza dough and preparing all the toppings. Following all their hard work, they got to enjoy their homemade personalized pizzas! 🤤

Everyone wants to be loved and accepted choose kindness and support.

Some creations made over the Kincardine March break classes..missing egg bites and in the second session we tried Gluten Free Brownies.

So grateful to have had 15 kids in my March Break Sessions, plus 50 kids from the Davidson Centre Daycamp. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

We were able to make a lot in a 3 hr class.
Kids enjoyed it and were amazed that egg whites made fluffy meringue.
Egg Bites, Waffles, Smoothies and cupcakes...yum yum 🥰

I nailed the cranberry bliss bar from that certain coffee chain. Found an amazing recipe online if you want to try. Recipe in comments.
