I never wear white to paint/stain.

Today I noticed a can lid wasn’t on properly as I walked by, (it happens) gave it a little tap with the back of a screwdriver to close it aaaaaand

A stain stain if you will.
Thankfully it was a water based stain, but I think white shirt may be donezo.

We lost Susan Gentilcore of All Things Preserved, a fantastic member of the maker community here in KW and surrounding area very suddenly last week.

To raise some funds to help support her 12 year old son, some local makers have donated items that we’ve created 3 amazing baskets from. We’ll be raffling off the 3 baskets with tickets available for $10 each or 3 for $25.

This feels like one of those “tell me you have kids without telling me you have kids” things. This is what happens when you’re sick and your husband is in charge of breakfast.... yogurt tubes in gym socks for breakfast 🤦🏼‍♀️

So. What’s the weirdest thing your kids/nieces/nephews/kids in your class have done?

I was reading some new books with our two little ones and this page just felt too spot on with everything going on in Ottawa and with the trucker protests all over Canada.
Our kids are learning to and know how to say something. Adults, literally take a page from a child’s book and be a role model for them.
Say something.

One N**i is too many. Simple as that.
Not a white supremacist? Don’t participate in events organized and attended by white supremacists and give them a bigger platform to stand on. You can’t be a BIPOC ally and support a rally where the attendants are harassing and making BIPOC feel unsafe to leave their homes.
Support the LGBTQ+ community? Not if you’re supporting a rally where they’re harassing and defacing the property of LGBTQ+ people.
Want to donate to support a cause? Indigenous communities need help getting clean water to their homes.
Covid health measures are not oppression. They’re temporary precautions that aren’t just about you. They’re about keeping the most vulnerable in our society safe. Protecting those who can’t get the vaccine because of health issues and age.
Want to protest mandates and have your voice heard? That’s your right as a Canadian citizen. Terrorizing an entire city while calling themselves a “freedom rally” is not a protest. It’s an occupation.
Do your due diligence. Know who you’re supporting with purchases and wherever you spend your money. Supporting someone who supports the “freedom rally” is standing with them. Your purchase dollars can go towards supporting causes like the “freedom rally”.
Be a good human. Be kind. Be anything except a supporter of the occupation of Parliament.
