Not only is she an amazing artist she is a mother who needs a little help with a trip to the Calgary children's hospital.

She is selling art work to raise the money.

Ok so I had to post and bost.
The beautiful jessica Gasenzer won a local contest from the lethbridge chamber of commerce.
$100 dollars in gift cards of her choice.
She of course shared with me and picked a $50 gift card to Windsor Plywood Lethbridge

I have to say the staff there are awesome people, very helpful and knowledgeable about there products. The wood variety is amazing. Every tool you could ever use for wood working.

Maybe my new favourite store??

Anyways I ended up purchasing a beautiful piece of zerbawood.

This wood comes all the way from Africa.

I am excited and a little nervous as I have never worked with zebrawood. I am struggling with what to turn this beautiful piece of wood into.

This awesome bone fish is headed to its new home in Calgary AB.

Added a couple snow men to the list. So far the lanterns range from roughly 10" to over 2 feet. Also finished up a beautiful rustic farm house coffee table. Measures 3'x2'x 17"

Made this for a guy I work with.
Wanted a shark for his bathroom.

Made from pallet wood. Shark is stained with thinned out blue tremclad and the whole piece is sealed with 3 coats of varathane.

Here is another amazing artist from Lethbridge AB.

The work this artist does is phenomenal, and they have only been scroll sawing for a year.

The details and paint is spot on.

I am so impressed with these pieces, I had to share it with you guys.

Wow what a busy morning.

Working on 4 custom orders today.
I have to custom orders in the planning stage.

Finished up 2 other orders yesterday, a shark and a flames cell phone holder.
And 1 birthday surprise piece. Which I won't post a picture of yet, just in case....lol

Unfortunately the person for the humming bird was a no show. But life is good and now it's for sale.

Secound run at these. I added a bat and a turtle. Made from oak and red alder.
The last one is made exotic pallet wood, 😂😂
OK ok, but I really like the grain and as usual, pictures don't do it justice. I added a coin tray to show the bug holes and tunnels, but you can't really see them in the pictures.

Trying cell phone charging stands again. A lot different then my first ones.

They look way better, this will definitely be an option from now on.

I've been a little lax on posting recently, for those that know me, know I've had a bit of a health issue. but I am getting better every day and I'm back to work.

I will keep adding pieces as I get them done.

Got another cannibal set done and ready to go.

A gruesome scene perfect for Halloween decor.

Well this one took a little time.
So much going on here.

Cubs in a tree.

This features 2 cubs playing in a tree. With a beaver felled tree, snowy mountains, birds, grass,flowers and mountains.

Crafting methods: scroll sawn bears, with wood burnt detailing.
Scroll sawn, painted snowy mountains.
Wood burnt back ground trees, birds, grass, flowers and water.

Materials are barn wood, pine, pallet boards and live wood.

Lots going on but I think it turned out rather nice.

A beautiful turtle, followed by its hatchling.

Made from reclaimed cedar.

46 1/2" long by 19 3/4" high.

Here is the first set.a little nastalgic retro Arcade fun.

Pacman is 9 1/2" round and the ghost is 7" high and 5 1/2 " wide

Made from reclaimed pallet wood.

Awsome piece for a games room, family room, man cave or kids bedroom.

There is a few more drying as I write this.

Hopefully the long weekend is going great.

Been working so hard I broke my scroll saw. Oh well gives me a bit of time to catch up on a few projects and get them finished.

So a few days ago Jessica told me a story about a lady she had met.
The lady told Jessica she had saved up her money to have a fish tank stand built for her fish. It needed to hold around 1000lbs.
Well what she got was definitely not worth the money she paid. (1 st picture)

The person who built it was not very accommodating. Now she was out the money
And was very upset.

Of course the people who know Jessica, knows she has a huge heart. She asked if we could help her out.

And as we all know, everybody's needs help every once in a while.

Sooo she got a new stand, all from reclaimed wood I had lying around. We delived the new stand and I met a wonderful, sincere, caring women that needed a little help that day.

We took the old stand away and I made it into something a little better. In the end we both won.🙂

Just remember when life gives you lemons,
Grab some rum, coconut cream,pineapple juice and ice, blend it all up and enjoy.
