I picked this handsome boy up on Saturday night, lucky for him I was in town for supper! Today we took him to the vet and turns out he’s been missing for 14 months and his family came to confirm it was him. I was 99% sure it was a match but they confirmed it was missing Oscar! Thank you Han Cliff Jay for meeting us with a carrier, rescuing a cat wasn’t what I had planned that night 😅 Happy ending!

Can anyone foster these littles for a couple days? Please?? I’m on my way into Lloyd now!

Ok friends, strangers and anyone else who thinks they can help.
I have an opportunity to move 11 unvetted, friendly, 6 months and over dogs out but I need help. These dogs are the ones that are nearly impossible to get into rescue (puppies, preggos and injured are at the front of that line)
This is huge , if we can move out 8 females that’s 60(ish) puppies that won’t be born to freeze to death this winter. These dogs will go to BC September 1/2 , they’ll be fully vetted and then adopted out.
I cannot hold these dogs, if enough people stepped up to foster them we can make this happen. If nobody’s willing to foster for 3 weeks then I need to let them know to take BC dogs instead.
They can also take 16 cats if anyone is able to foster cats or moms and kittens but I’m definitely better set up to hold cats.
I will get the dogs vaccinated and send food to fosters but I need dedicated people as there’s no “back up plan” for them if you just decide you want to return your foster.
Please message me if you can help asap so I know wether to collect these dogs or call it off. TIA.

This guy needs an emergency enucleation tomorrow, he’s been around this area for years Kelsey Trach-Jory you will recognize him.😞 He was crying and following us around tonight so I figured he was hungry. Then I noticed his eye😭 He will be at Lloyd Animal Hospital tomorrow if anyone can help.

Nail trims and dewormer tonight, anywhere from 3.3lbs to almost 5.

Is anybody headed to Edmonton that wouldn’t mind taking along a passenger? He would be in a crate, and he’s going to a rescue on the south/east side of the city. 

Is anyone headed to Edmonton this weekend that could take 2 cats along? Supposed to be 28 tomorrow and it will be a sweat lodge in my garage. The white and tabby is going to give birth anyday so she really needs to be out of this cage in my garage.

This little dog has been attacked, she has punctures in multiple places that are now infected and hurting her. Likely very recently pregnant , I’ve been trying to find a rescue to take her or at least get her into a vet but zero offers to help. If we don’t get her out she will continue to suffer and eventually have a litter of puppies that nobody wants.
Can we raise enough money to get her cleaned up , vaccinated and antibiotics started?
I’m guessing her bill will be $500+ , ideally having her spayed but raising enough for the initial exam for sure.

Is anyone going to Edmonton that could take along 3 small pups? They would of course be crated , they need to get to the south/east side of the city. Please message me asap if you can help.

Looking for help for these puppies, there is nine in total, they are out in the bush and we are catching them as we can but they are full of fleas and ticks. They all need to be treated for ticks, vaccinated, dewormed, etc.. and will need a good puppy chow as they are malnourished. Once rescues have been confirmed we need to get them to red deer and Calgary. If anyone can help with any of this please message me! I cannot do this alone, I have 2 so far and hoping to get the rest tonight.

Please help if you can, these are kittens that I pulled from Lloydminster as they were dying one by one without this treatment. They were sent to a BC rescue and are doing amazing with treatment but it’s expensive!

One of us is tired and 5 of us are hungry 🤔 I was outvoted so off to Onion Lake this morning to pick up 5 little orphans who lost their mom yesterday. Everyone has a full tummy and are napping now.

An hour of sleep and pups are on the road! Made them a little den and they are Kelowna bound! I’m going home and praying for a little sleep because tonight is another all nighter. Thanks everyone who helped get these puppers safe.

Oh this boy broke my heart last night😭

A little boy who needs to paint a new masterpiece. Here’s why.

What do you do when all you’ve had in life is a mom and then she gets shot. Not only does this horrific act actually happen, she is left to suffer with a maimed shattered leg. (We chose not to show the video we have). It wasn’t until days later that she wandered to the shop of a kind rescuer who was able to provide the necessary veterinary care to compassionately help her cross the bridge. Back to the kitten. Suddenly, for days you’ve been on your own, you find food is scarce and so are your survival skills at just 12 weeks old. As the days go by with no nutrition you become dehydrated and emaciated. Hunger results in consuming grass, small sticks and berries. The situation starts to take its toll on such a frail body.
When you are finally on your last legs you are discovered laying at the side of a country road. Afraid, you bite the hand that reaches to help but you soon succumb to its kindness.

WARNING GRAPHIC VIDEO IN COMMENTS! Do not open if you’re not prepared to stomach it, this is the absolute most traumatic injury I’ve dealt with (last week I picked up a 4 week old puppy with a leg almost completely severed this was much worse!). We need changes to the Saskatchewan Stray Animal Act, write your MLA’s! A cat should never be considered such a threat that someone would need to kill or torture it! My next door neighbor shot this cat Monday at about 6 pm, I found her in my shop at 2:00AM Thursday morning, she had a completely shattered leg and hip, wound was fully necrotic , maggots were present and the smell was revolting! Her crime? Hunting vermin in his filthy yard, this was a feral cat that belonged to another farm, she has unlimited food at that farm and has been known to stop and eat in my shop. We affectionately called her Danika Patrick because she was very fast, ran like the wind every time we crossed paths. were called and were of absolutely no help, under this Neanderthal Stray Animal Act they claim nothing can be done unless he were to admit he intentionally shot the cat with a shotgun with the intention of causing the most damage. A report has also been made to . He and his wife have bragged to neighbors that he’s killed 100 cats but apparently that’s not enough for RCMP to take it seriously.
I finally got help to catch her at 9am Thursday morning after watching her suffer for 7 fu***ng hours! RCMP said they would send someone to help at 2:00am but they claim they weren’t told until 8 am, Animal Cruelty is a crime but obviously not at all taken seriously by them, they are also supposed to help with animals in distress after hours (that’s the law!). Dr.Weir sedated her immediately and did his exam, he advised immediate euthanasia because it was cruel to prolong her suffering any longer. He also said it was one of the worst injuries he’d seen, he’s been a vet for a very long time I 100% trust his decision. We had hoped she could be saved after fighting to live so long with these grevious injuries. Saving Animals From Euthanasia made arrangements with their vet at 2:30 am to get her in for surgery (they always have my back in emergencies ❤️).
Thank you Kirby Seidler for everything you helped me with that night, Thank you Tanya Manning and Robyn for helping me get her caught and into the vet (after 33 hours of no sleep I shouldn’t have been driving) and to Kohl Tan for helping me with the vet bill. And to everyone else who offered to help with the bill, I appreciate it but haven’t been in to pay it so without knowing the total I’m not asking for donations.

Haven’t posted much lately but will add an interesting story about Teddy later today, another rags to riches happy ending.

2 medical needs cats this week, Shylo had been living outside with a broken leg for an unknown period of time, she will go to the SAFE Team Rescue tomorrow to have her leg assessed. She has frostbite to both ears but her tail seems to be ok. Valentine was found in Lloydminster suffering some pretty horrific frost bite, she’s lost both ears completely and is currently on pain meds and antibiotics, her tail will need to be amputated in a few days. If anyone wants to help with either of these ladies medical care you can donate to the SAFE Team or call Weir Veterinary Services and put money on my account (Veralyn Kien) . Thank you Pat Sedgwick for taking good care of Valentine and getting her to her vet appointments. Sasha was also taken in yesterday, she’s sweet as they come! She was rescued in Onion Lake just as the cold snap started , her rescuer kept her safe and warm so thankfully no frost bite for this girl.
