I have only cried twice during this closing ordeal. Once when my vehicle was towed away and I knew it was the end and just now...
When a loyal customer got finished their night shift and drove straight to our closing sale, bought buckets of flowers, this dresser and my highland moo moo picture. (Purchasing furniture and large canvas pictures were not in the plan , but they packed er in anyway). Then set it up in their home as a tribute to our meeting.
I'm not crying, you're crying!!! 🥲

A huge thank you to everyone who came out today! I am forever grateful for each of you that supported us for the past 2 years up till today!

Liquidation sale of all flower farm equipment including but not limited to tillers, irrigation, sprayers, hoses, seed starting equipment, low tunnels, fertilizers.
Garage sale- grinders, air tools, heaters, pumps, mechanics tools.
Multi home yard sale- home decor, clothing, antiques, children's items.
Vendors on site include Cake by the Maples and Bitty Bums Clothing .

Today I purged my closet. So many jackets! Only worn a handful of times!

Cake by the Maples is officially on board and I can't wait to see what sweets are coming.

We have a super SWEET addition to our vendors this Saturday! Can you guess who's coming?
Also if your a vintage, antique collector/lover you'll want to swing by. I have boxed up tons of milk glass, depression glass, pink and emerald vases as well as a few antique cabinets.
My husband has collected a few items as well. Bench grinder, air tools, jacks, ramps, heaters, wet end pumps.
We are expecting a large turn out so if you've been thinking of purging this will be a great way to get your treasures in front of a lot of eyes. Contact us to join our yard sale.
There is a brand new succession of ruby sunflowers and a few dahlias in the field for the pay what you can upick.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the end of Rocky Moss Flower Farm.
We suffered a major vehicle malfunction that can not be repaired and returned for months. Did you know there is not one loaner vehicle or rental in all of NS right now?!?
This has set the business in a financial crisis it will not rebound from.
We have explored many avenues to avoid this closure but unfortunately there is no fix. I have many great business partners, and friends that have stopped at nothing in order to help to which I am forever grateful. I think some are taking it harder than myself and husband in fact. We are truly blessed to have met you all!
All refunds have been issued.
Next Saturday September 17th we will be hosting a "Farewell to Flowers" event here on the farm. Here's the details:
- Open from 8am-2pm
- Pay what you can/feel UPick. This is first come first served basis. Bring your own vase, snips. There are plenty of zinnias, cosmos, sunflowers, and lots of dried flower stems in the field.
- Liquidation sale of all business, farm, and seeding equipment.
- Community garage sale.
- Vendors

Tutorial on colour design, asymmetrical balances, and negative space will give you the fundamentals to make a stunning centerpiece in the provided clay vessel.
Stroll the garden for the finishing touches while you sip and Snack local catered fare. End the evening with a sunset photo and pet a sleeping bee.

Meet James!
James attended our most recent UPick with one goal! To pet a sleeping bee!
As you can see from his super cool mincraft "save the bees" tshirt James is on a mission; at 10 years old!
He is a No Mow May advocate and can be found spreading dandelion seed wherever he can.
This Sunday the bees weren't quite ready to be slumber by the end of our upick but I couldn't resist letting him stay till sundown to finally find a sleeper to pet.
Thank you James for reminding me why we are a no spray, slow flowers farm. You've inspired us to go bigger and better next year with our sunflowers and our child education and are excited to see how we can turn more onto bees and our part as farmers!

One of my first customers sent this picture to me tonight . Her first bouquet she ordered last year.
Last year all I grew was Sunflowers, Zinnias, cosmos and celosia.
I used to drive through my neighbour's Christmas tree lot to find "filler" every night to fill my bouquets. I felt like such a fraud.
I don't believe in "fake it till you make it" but I'm a firm believer in "don't wait another second" mentality; so I began.
I'm certainly not the most superb grower of flowers, but I deeply care about my business and my customers.
To those who have appreciated our small growth and continue to cheer lead my dream THANK YOU!
