Ruby gets it first
š
Tresās 5 weeks have come to an end. Heās a very big youngster and most of our time was spent learning how to use his body.
He did phenomenal at this first show outing over the weekend. I showed him the patterns the few days prior, but it wasnāt about the patterns as much as it was the exposure. He was quiet and handled everything so well.
About as ready as we can be for the heat. Everyone in shaded areas
Sugar was in lessons this week
Upgrades being made slowly
Riding ring on property(unfenced for now)
Individual turnouts & will be more added in the trees providing comfortable shade
Barn upgrades to more box stalls with fans and to also give own run outs
I am so proud of this here.
Opal and her owner went for a large group trail ride to the water two days after returning home. 3 year old with two months under her belt and was so good to her owner. You two will do so great together!
I would like to put a little note out there. I will be shifting my focus. Starting with training horses.
*I am no longer taking horses for less than 3 months*
If my name is going to be tagged on a horse I wish for it to represent me well and that would start by having an amount of time fair to me to work with that horse. Only exception to this will be horses Iāve previously put an amount of time on and had them within 12 months prior. Those who have already booked their time in this year are not obligated to do 3 months. This will probably slow things down for me but my goal is quality not quantity.
Thank you!
Opal, 3 year old
2 months spent with her starting with her manners then moved along to under saddle. The Pivo cut me off at the end..but she will side pass both directions easily, move her shoulders and hip yield

Nap time
Tres!
Happy to have him back
Heās a coming 4 year old, green broke. Weāre just looking to continue his learning
This is Ruby, her fourth ride in here. She gets anxious about loping and troubles with speed control at the jog after loping. We jumped right into it and making progress at that, weāll rewind and work on other details as well

Again I wish I had taken a before video! I sometimes surprise myself what can be accomplished/started with only a months worth riding. This is Chance. He was super green.
He was heavy on the direct rein, heavy stop, didnāt know neck rein, unbalanced lope and scared of the trail obstacles!
Sky now. She is headed home early but very happy with how sheās come this month
Kallie is headed to a clinic with Mona Lewis this weekend. Canāt wait for the next step š¤
These kids got me dreaming about the things Critter wonāt be doing this year š Different goals set for the year. Thinking I might steal a roan pony out of Lauraās field
Critter had two races before this one
Fastest barrel and pole runs of all the horses on this weekend had Ronnie not jinxed me to hit a pole š¤
Barrels 0.3 sec off arena holder Sarah š®
Seeing as Iām bragging her up lol might I add that on this one weekend of this clubs full season I race her in, her average in the 3 days earned her Reserve 1D Barrel Champion for the year
These 3 are starting their path to horse showing!
Get ready girls. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable, thatās how we know your growing š
The last few days & Progress on barn extension
This oneās getting super nice š¤
3rd ride in
I will be making more effort to *remember* to take lesson pictures. We keep busy here š
I was in yet another clinic this weekend. This one geared towards reined cowhorse. Everything comes down to the same foundations. I got new information and clarity that will cross over to all horses I work with, which is my ultimate goal in taking all these clinics to improve what I do beyond my own horses.
I have been taking Critter to all clinics so far this year. Sheās made many improvements but with a long ways to go yet. At some point Iāll post a little before clip I took late last fall compared to recent flat work and manoeuvres
āChanceā is a handsome 4yo. Given a great foundation as a late 2yo. Here for a short visit to continue improving skills and start trail obstacles
