The classic Margherita | pomodoro, mozzarella, basilico 🇮🇹 A quick history on this simple yet delicious pie.
Born in 1889, this pizza is named after Queen Margherita. She would travel to Naples, Italy where a pizzaiolo named Raffaele Esposito would make her a pizza with sauce, cheese, and basil. The queen loved this pizza so much, they named it after her! This pizzeria exists today, it goes by the name pizzeria Brandi 🤌🏻
